Using Injections (Trimix/Quad Mix/Pentamix) and Vacuum Pump at the Same Time

Sorry of this has already been covered in another thread, but I was surprised to see that the U.S. National Institutes of Health supports using vacuum erection devices and penile injections such as bimix, trimix, quad mix and pentamix at the same time. Has anyone here tried this?

Here's what the NIH is saying:

"We conclude that external vacuum devices can augment a partial response to intracavernous injection and the combination may be an alternative treatment before intrapenile prosthesis implantation (implant)"

The NIH says it also supports using a pump in combination with one of the ED pills. This was all news to me as I prepare to begin pumping in preparation for penile implant surgery this coming fall.

I tried mixing a pump and injections 2 or 3 times. With me it caused a dime sized edema at the injection site so I gave it up. I think I've read posts on FT of others having better success with the practice. Give it a try but use caution with the pumping until you find out if you're one of the guys that can use that technique or are like me and has issues.

Thanks Bldoink. I may experiment and see how it goes. Combining injections with the vacuum pump could help tide me over until I'm eligible for Medicare to pay for an implant after May 2021. Been a while since our paths online have crossed. Hope you're still doing well!

I'm doing just fine for an old fart that isn't getting younger. I hope things are going well for you too. I hope to see you around more often as you are definitely one of the more reasoned voices on the forum. I always thought you would have made a great moderator. I certainly don't have the tolerance or the temperament for it, nor am I politically correct enough for it in this new age we're in.

I recommend combining PDE 5 inhibitors before trying pumping. When I was injecting and tried using my pump when the injections started to become ineffective I would often get some minor bleeding at the injection site.

Also, if you pump first prior to injecting, the injection seems to be diluted and less effective due to the extra blood that is forced in.

I have found that a quick one-cycle mild pump BEFORE injecting is beneficial. Seems to help the heft of the unit. Also, it's much akin to plumping-up before injecting to provide a bigger more visible target. I seem to get a longer-lasting erection when injecting when plumped. Injecting flaccid seems to flush the injectate out and the erection is not as hard or durable. Personally I would NOT torment an injection site by pumping after the injection. Also, I note I am harder after one pump cycle. It seems to get more flaccid after cycle #2 and #3 progressively. I still do that for PT bout would not before sex. Just my reaction, yours may vary.
