Please help! Somebody?????

Postby flinchmob » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:28 pm

I have ED from diabetes. I have used an Encore model (battery) pump with the smallest ring for about a year. It works OK but my erections could be harder. I am only using the one ring and never knew you could use two until I found your forum. Also, my nuts get sucked up the tube so half the time I am screwing with the damn ring around a ball!!!!!!!!!!! Recently I began to wonder if I had purchased the right pump and began looking around at other pumps/rings. I found that there are a number of models out there but very little info. I have searched the net for weeks looking to be pointed in the right direction and there is NOTHING I can find out there. Even on this site there is not much in the way of reviews/recommendations. And when I do find a ring somebody likes such as the Obsons then I read a ton of people saying the loops tear off the first time? You don't need to spend a great deal of time but could you take a second to recommend a pump and rings or ring set? Please????????

Also, I only pump for sex. Should I be pumping for general rehab or blood flow and if so how long? Do you just pump and leave the tube/suction on for a while?

Note: I started using two rings and that made a difference in hardness. I am think that the original ring that came with my Encore must have stretched out over time?????

flinch,

Yes that is the pump I use also (the battery version). I did upgrade to the larger tube after 6 months of use on the standard tube -- outgrew the standard one ;-).

Osbon rings are what I use also. I have 6 different ones (pinks, tans, greys) and they all work well.
Some are over 3 years old and are as good as the day I bought them.
Only one has actually broken -- and just the other day -- (pink one) after about 3 years of use when I was a little too forceful
removing it I guess.
Yes the little handles can break, BUT they should only be used to slightly lift a portion of the ring so you can slip a finger under it and THEN you use your fingers to remove it -- don't use the little handles. Even then the tan handles will eventually give out. But you can still use them -- just a little more careful digging with a finger to get under the ring to stretch it off. Works fine, but file your nails all the way down!
I use the pump for 'recreation/rehab' only not for intercoursal use. Sometimes just pump up and hold for a while before using Trimix but also pump and a ring or two and leave it on for a while.
I think it has kept things at or exceeding my post RRP surgery size -- especially girth which is now close to 6" with pump or with Trimix.

Also look into the penile sleeve mentioned on this site. If I were still using a pump for real sex I would surely be using one (Got three of those too -- all good quality construction and very helpful).

Oops almost forgot the most important rule of pumping: Always Always Always keep one hand gripped on your balls!! Never let em go until the rings go on. Hopefully you have enough stretch in the sack to have something to hang on to?? With an electric pump like you have it is real easy for one hand on the button and one on the balls yes?? I've never had an issue over thousands of pumpings ...

Read this page. http://www.franktalk.org/pumps I ordered the foam sleeve shown on this page and it helps to keep from sucking your balls into the tube. I also bought a cheap porn shop pump for $15. I use it in the shower every day. Since I've been pumping every day I've regained some lost size. I think the more you use the pump the better you get with it. Before I found this site I had given up pumping. I was sure I wanted an implant. Without insurance, FT encouraged me retry the pump. I also am using trimix again. I have found that pumping 15 minutes before injecting seems to make the trimix work better for me. After injecting the wife and I play around for a half hour or so then I pump it up and snap on the ring. I've found after injecting the trimix I can use a larger ring which is a lot more comfortable for me. Since I got the trimix I stopped using the foam sleeve. You still have to be careful with those balls. I gently pull down on my scrotum while pumping.

I have been pumping for about 2.5 years. I agree with Jimstars that the Osbon tension bands are the most effective constriction devices on the market. However, I prefer non-medical pumps. I actually use a brass break bleeder set from Harbor Freight which includes a safety release valve and vacuum pressure gauge for safety and sells for about $25 in their catalogue. I got mine with a coupone at one of their retail outlets for $17. You can couple it with a comfortable cylinder such as this:

If you purchase the properly sized cylinder, you will find it extremely comfortable and it will not suck in your testicles. The disadvantage is that you need to slip on the cock ring after you remove the cylinder or pump while wearing the cock ring.

Feel free to ask additional questions if you want more information.

I usse a manual pump from Augusta Medical, which cost a little over $100, and I have been using it for 4 years. It comes with rings to adjust the size of the opening (not the same thing as the cock rings to hold your erection). These rings work well to keep your balls out of the vacuum cylinder. I use this pump just for intercourse. I also use a Prelude pump for everyday penis therapy.
