Pumping effect on sensitivity?

I'm new to pumping (I have an Encore scheduled to arrive today). I've read everything here for the last couple of years and checked all the YouTube videos I could find. All to say, I'm not totally ignorant on the subject but I have zero first-hand knowledge.

A big challenge for me is sensitivity and the concomitant delayed ejaculation, a/k/a anorgasmia. ED is an issue but I have about a 50% success rate staying hard with Viagra; but that is no guarantee that I'll be able to cum. I'm hoping vacuum therapy on a regular basis restores some life to the little fella. But, back to the sensitivity issue.... in the hundreds of comments in the forum, I see no discussion of pumping - to either increase or decrease sensitivity and anorgasmia.

I'm looking at it from the two uses of pumping, therapy (i.e. regular use with no constriction device) and intercourse erections (i.e. using a constriction device). Will regular therapy improve sensitivity? Will a pumped up erection be more or less sensitive?

A related question: assuming an ejaculatory event is imminent, does the constriction ring retard or stop the expulsion? I noticed one brand of ring has a notch for the urethra, supposedly to allow for semen flow without renewing the blood. Do those work?

Thank you for any experience advice.

Constriction ring/band will not delay ejaculation, but will keep you erect afterwards. You shouldn't leave it on longer than 30 minutes max. I say 20, why push it, your penis is probably getting cold by then anyway, not what your SO wants to feel.

Constriction rings reduce sensitivity IME, to the point of numbness.

I am having so much success with my vacuum pump for sex that I have had thoughts about foregoing my scheduled penile implant. Right now I take 100 mg of Viagra about an hour before sex or masturbation and then apply the vacuum pump. The result every time is an incredible erection that is rock hard with enormous girth and length. It took a while but now I am not having any problems with sensitivity. For me it was just a matter of staying patient.

Once I am fully erect inside the vacuum pump I slide the Osborne constriction/penis ring -- with the U-shape notched on the bottom -- from the base of the pump and onto the base of my fully erect penis. From that point on I am rock hard until I remove the constriction ring at about the maximum 30-minute mark.

When I first started pumping I could not ejaculate after pumping which was obviously a bummer. Then one night I actually got off. It was like WOW! Then in the following weeks I again struggled to ejaculate although the self-love sessions were still enjoyable. Fast forward I'm now ejaculating almost regularly, and I can tell you that the orgasms are truly powerful.

I would suggest you stay with pumping and try to remain patient as I did. Your breakthrough could be just around the corner.

Good luck.

Seekonk, I haven't noticed the band making me lose sensitivity, but if you leave them on too long you'll definitely go numb. I don't ever go past 20 minutes, not trying to create more problems!

I use Osbon Erecaid rings (two) with the notch on the bottom and the pressure points on top. I' have not seen any effect on sensitivity one way or the other. Sometimes orgasms are easy and sometimes not with or without the rings. Sometimes I not sure that I'm not pumping just a little too much - no discomfort but feel it is stretched too much and too hard - maybe need to back off a little for a more natural feel. Pills and injections didn't work but VED and rings sure did.
