I just tossed out two of my Bathmates, my X-40 X-Treme and my 7-WideBoy Hydroextreme. I would always use the external red pump for maximum suction. I would use it for roughly 25 minutes, around four times a week after lifting weights. Used it on and off for about a decade.

Just read that it is recommended usage is only 15 minutes, and ideally you are suppose to deflate the unit after five minutes. That said, I never had difficulty until I used the Bathmate. Thinking that I overused the unit and this caused the venous leakage. According to the doppler test, my venous leakage was a 14, which is considered severe (was told that normal is around a 3).

Just wondering if others had same experience.

WTF, if you want a doppler test, why would any doctor refuse?

I don't know how your medical coverage is paid, but are you not willing to pay for one out of pocket?

I'm 60+ and have had ED for 15+ years.
Never once (other than this site) has it been suggested to see a urologist, much less get a doppler test.

It was only after 10 years of my wife wanting less and less sex (essentially sexless marriage) because of my ED, that I sought out treatment with penile injections.
I first asked my GP/family doctor, who was clueless about injections. He literally had to look up penile injections. He then offered Caverjet which cost $45 each injection.

I then researched for a local urologist and then called my GP/Family doctor for a referral to the urologist.
Because of Canada's outstanding medical system /note sarcasm/ it took six months to see the urologist.
When I finally talked to the urologist he knew exactly what I wanted. He arranged an in-person appointment for a trial injection.
He never asked anything about my medical history nor offered any tests.
At the in-person appointment, he showed me how to do the injection and see that it worked (got a disappointing chubby, LOL)
I've been using the injections now for six months with good success.

My point is that if I did not pursue my own personal health treatment plan. I would still be living in a miserable sexless marriage.
We are now averaging successful sex at least once week. Although we still have issues in life, its not because I cant get it up.

What treatments have you been offered?
I would assume Viagra/Cialis, as most doctors will prescribe the pills if you simply mention ED.
If you got no results from pills and you don't have any other obvious symptoms or causes. You could try Trimix.
If trimix doesn't give results then I would think a doppler test would done be in order to test blood flow.

Having said that I am not any kind of medical professional, but like you a suffer of ED for many years.
Until last year I ran out of ideas on what to do. That is until I came back to this site and started seriously reading about injections.

As full disclosure I joined this site (franktalk) over 10 years ago and made/responded to about a dozen posts in 2011.
At that time (2011) several FT members recommended Trimix. Stubborn me thought I would continue to use Viagra.
Regretfully I suffered with a shitty sex life for the past ten years. It wasn't until I took action and pursued a solution that I got results.

To the OP I didn't intend to hijack your post. But I will say this if you think you have VL and you pursued other treatments, Definitely get tested. At least then you will know.
