Permanent gains before surgery

Been pumping seriously for about 3 years. For all who are considering an implant, there is definitely benefit from hard core pumping before going under the knife. I went from a natural born 6.25" to a BPSFL of 8". I can reach 8.75" in the tube but after all edema is gone and days and even weeks of a break I can stretch to 8. It truly does pay off. I'm going under the knife in prolly a year. I want to be sure that even if losing some length I'll still be proud.

How often and for how long are you pumping ?

I will typically pump for an hr while in the tub. After that I'll do occasional 5 min sessions throughout the day. I start at low pressure (5mmhg) and progressively go higher with frequent breaks at zero mmhg. By the end of an intense 1hr session with occasional pressures of 20mmhg, I'll go on about my day and just tug a bit while taking a leak to prevent turtling. I also do this to make sure whatever micro tears occur heal in a lengthened state. I will only use pressures above 10mmhg for 30 seconds to a min then back off to about 8.
I give it a rest for a day or two then repeat the process. If you're already pretty certain you're getting an implant , you're not gonna mess yourself up . Be consistent. I promise it'll pay off.

I am going to get an implant in the next 2-3 months. I have a VED which gives me a decent length and girth. Without the pump I am shrunk down pretty much. I have had ED for a long time. What concerns me is that if I just go into the surgery now I will wind up with a much shorter implant than I can achieve with the pump. I have not had the session with the surgeon to figure out my rigid length yet. I have a short enough penis as it is right now. When I use the injections I get an erection, but I have noted the pump will make it longer and thicker than just the injections alone. With the injections I am only hard when I stand up. The moment I lay to down with the wife, while the penis is longer, it goes limp quickly. Currently what I do is inject, then use the VED to make it bigger, then apply the ring to keep it erect, but that has limited effect and will slowly release blood flow to where I am more limp again.

Any advice on better preparing in advance of the surgery for the implant is appreciated.

Hi all,
I did VED for years before finally being implanted by Dr. Eid (world class surgeon). I kept my length but did lose girth (16 - 17 cm —> 14). I’m posting to let you know that your penis shape becomes less round after the implant (very much like a hot pocket). I still take Cialis to help the blood flow to the shaft and head. Not as big or shapely as before but works reliably. No perfect solutions…only tradeoffs.

Something to be aware of.
Search the implant board for “oval”

Positive medical study as to the benefits of VED prior to surgery.

Is the daily use of vacuum erection device for a month before penile prosthesis implantation beneficial? a randomized controlled trial

" I went from a natural born 6.25" to a BPSFL of 8".
what is "BPSFL"?
going from 6.25 to 8 is quite a big gain.is that gain realized in erections or stretched length ? most people report the gains are temporary but if it lasts long enough for the implant operation than thats great. im thinking of doing the same thing ...maybe .
i suppose and hope that after the implant at a longer length that the penis does not cause issues if it wants to shrink back with the long rods in place [i was considering a malleable]

Unless you are definitely planning on getting an implant, never do those high pressures and times in the tube, you definitely won't be getting a natural erection after that!

Discuss with your surgeon the technique he will use to measure your INTERNAL penis length. IN DETAIL! There are videos that show the process. Some men cannot watch it, as it involves making an incision in the side of the penis and both cavernosum, inserting a stick (measuring tool) and ramming it (I reallyy do mean "ramming") up in your penis up to the glans and down into your pelvic crus. It is quite graphic. But necessary. The measurement has to be done with the same amount of force a fully functioning fully engorged cavernosum pushes your erection. Anything less, I attribute to a timid surgeon who will leave you undersized. So, confirm with your surgeon how aggressively he will size/measure you during the surgery.
