As I’ve posted in other streams, I’ve been using a pump and rings for the past 4 months to have sex with my wife. Definitely is working, but as many have commented, the restriction rings takes some of the sensitivity away and the whole ordeal of slowing pumping it up to full erection is getting old. I was supposed start injections today, but Uro had to reschedule due illness.

My wife being of old school nature is not on board with the injections. She says everything is working fine. Why change it?

Has anyone stayed with pumps and rings for sex for a long period of time, say years, without moving onto injections/implants?

I went the other way - from injections to pump. Injections no longer worked for me and didn't want to increase the dosage. Been using the VED with rings for around 4 years successfully. Can't always climax with the rings in place as wife cannot be touched after hers. Sometimes remove the rings and sometimes not, but vibrator always does the trick with help from her.

I tried a pump a few times. Never did get much out of it. As soon as the pressure released, ring or no ring down it would go.
My worry was always the length of time keeping the blood backed up if it would cause any long term problems. The only thing I've ever heard of is the loss of sensitivity. Seems that happens with aging anyway.

I don't know the exact date we started with a VED.
Somewhere around 8 or 9 years ago. At least once a week, except for an occasion illness or injury.

Been using pump for sex at least 12 or more years. Tried Trimix gel a few times, it worked but not any better than pumping, and a lot more expensive. I’m still using the same pump, just buy new rings when they start to crack. Had trouble with anorgasmia for years, but lately have done a lot better using aloe cadabra right before penetration. We have sex twice a week, and I do daily vacuum therapy with a prelude device.

3+ years. I tried several pumps and a lot of different constriction rings. Biggest complaints... #1 limited to 30 minutes and #2 Your penis gets cold and turns purplish. The wife hated the feeling of a cold cock. Oh, did I forget to mention spontaneity. Get all "hot and bothered" then have to set up and pump you dick up.

For some reason after a couple of years of regular pumping my dick doesn't get cold during the time frame. Still gets dark.

Far, far better for us to have regularly scheduled sex that not have any. I think, for us at least, those were the two options.

Yes, great info and feedback. I’m just trying to mentally prepare myself in the event that injections don’t work out for me (and my wife).

As I mentioned in my opening post, she is totally fine with using the pump/rings and our “call me when you’re ready” routine. She doesn’t like to touch it now, but I guess she hasn’t touched it much during the last few years anyways.

And yes, it’s better than doing nothing at all.
