Quick question regarding pumps.

Can someone please explain what symptoms I would have If I pumped wrong and damaged my penis? I've pumped a few times in my life and wasn't educated on the pressure etc despite being prescribed it. Anyway I'm starting to wonder if I have damaged myself due to pumping wrong, the first time I pumped It was very painful and never got hard, it grew in size but didn't stay hard at all. As soon as all pressure was gone the erection went instantly.

I'm asking this because I've been trying to find problems for my ED and can't think of much but then I had a chat with someone and he explained a little bit about pumps and it made me wonder if I've damaged myself more due to pumping incorrectly. I had a manual pump with no gauge and had no clue what I was doing, stupid I am well aware of this.

When I first tried I just pumped till it grew to max size and it went very purple etc, don't need to explain what over pumping looks like but I'm wondering if someone can explain if I did pump wrong and damage my penis what would these symptoms consist of?

You should never feel pain when pumping.
