Has anyone tried using the Encore manual pump in the shower?

I use my AMS manual pump in the shower all the time. A make a point to hold the cylinder under the hot water to help increase expansion.

CAG1943,
Vacuum pumps are not really made to be used in the bath ... if a cheap pump failed that isn't a big deal, but the Encore is rather expensive to take a chance on. They do make one just for that purpose ... it's called a Bathmate.

Are you talking about going into the shower with the pump on or putting water inside the cylinder while pumping? Apparently, you are getting responses regarding both types of pumping - air pumping and water pumping (Bathmate).

I was talking about going into the shower with the pump. Vacuum to be pulled with air (dry) not with water in the pump.
I don't think this will harm the pump since it's no different than cleaning the pump after use.

As I mentioned earlier, I do air pumping in the shower all the time. As long as water does not get into the pump itself, shower pumping should not be an issue and, as i also mentioned, may even increase the engorgement.

In my opinion, do not hesitate, but run to the shower with the pump on.
