Hi all,

New here...Had DaVinci RPP in November. Started using Encore Deluxe, opted for the over-sized tube but having similar issues...so maybe it's something I am doing wrong...

When pumping, there is "growth" at the penile base (which tends to get a little stuck in the tube, thus my trying the larger tube) but not a lot of length happening (nowhere near pre-surgery length) Pumping to the point of "tightness" at the base but I thought length would just happen along with the girth....

Have just started doing this recently so I am hoping I did not wait too long to start...If it just means it will take a little longer to see results, that's OK...

Thoughts?

Are you sure you are getting a good seal on your pump tube? You may need to do a little trimming ...

No you didn't wait too long ... but it takes time and effort to see any results (6 months of daily workouts) I too had the "DaVinci" and lost several inches right after surgery ... I was able to regain all I lost pumping daily ...

However don't get fooled by your URO telling you that you will recover your normal erections. The pump helps with blood flow and prevents tissue atrophy. Pills and Injections are in your future ... and then an Implant (if needed)

Thanks for the reply. I think I am getting a good seal.....can feel the pull and the pressure on me... But more trimming couldn't hurt....unless I slip

I do actually use that body shield. What's "getting stuck" does not seem to be skin getting pulled in but the bottom part of the penis once it swells a bit....Will keep trying and experimenting.

So it is normal to perhaps not see length happening at first?

I've been using a pump for several years with fair success. It takes me awhile to get off and you can't leave a ring on indefinitely but otherwise pump and ring works. Anyhow, I do have some experience with pumps and rings although I've never used the body shield. Shaving does make using a pump considerably easier. For me it makes injections easier too. I now shave more than necessary, from an inch above the dick down as I discovered there are some excellent side benefits as far as wife's interest there is concerned. Anyhow, if you're good with it, post a pic of exactly what you're experiencing. I'm not sure I'm understanding correctly. I don't use the shield but I have discovered that I have to start slow or there is a chance to suck a nut into the tube....NOT GOOD! Lube is a must.

You mean part of the underside, internal portion of the penis? If you apply a ring you have a kind of fleshy lump between the scrotum and the external base of your penis?

That is what happens to me when I use my Encore pump. Once the ring is applied I can feel the internal penis in this "flesh and it is erect. I always thought this was a good thing. I can penetrate all the way to the base of my external penis and have little or no "hinge effect.

But I am referring to the fact that the base of the penis swells a bit within the tube while pumping, causing pressure, whereas there is only some length happening...I cannot get it to the length I used to be.

I am wondering if that is because a) I have to work my way back to that length or b) the vacuum is affecting that base area of the penis and therefore, no blood being used for length, just bottom girth.

Right ... now a little info on the "DaVinci" method that the surgeon doesn't tell you about ... the Urinary tube runs thru the prostrate, so during surgery the tube is cut on both ends of the prostrate. Once removed the surgeon pulls the two ends together and stitches the pieces.

In my case my prostrate was the size of a baseball ... now you cut that amount out then pull the ends back that's about 3" or so (loss)? Wow! what a wake-up call when I looked in the mirror ... I was able to regain all that I lost with daily pumping.

The daily pumping also helped when I opted (6 months) for a Implant ... the surgeon was very generous in sizing my cylinders, so that I didn't have any size loss at all ...

I have found a similar condition with my pumping.

When I pump up, the base of my penis (essentially, the flesh between my scrotum and penis) seems to engorge.

When this happens (It did not seem to happen a few months ago when I first started vacuuming-perhaps I did not notice or my technique has changed-more about that later.), and this flesh is outside the tube, I cannot get longer than 6 inches or so.

But if I get that fleshy engorgement INTO the tube, I can get another 1/4 to 3/8 inch of length.

It feels as if related to limitations of skin stretch along the bottom of the penis, or maybe there is some internal structure between the underside of the penis and the scrotum that limits length ;I am not sure yet.

To be sure, it is NOT related to sucking a testicle into the vacuum tube.

So, a typical vacuum session goes like this:

I put my penis into the tube (it helps if the penis is at least partially erect, but that does not happen very often) and apply vacuum so the penis becomes engorged and I can feel the tunica being stretched.

There is a little "burning" sensation just behind the corona and into the glans. I used to feel that sensation with a natural erection when I was a young man.

This usually gets me to around 6 inches, but sometimes as little as 4 3/4 inches.

I release vacuum and stuff the skin around the base of the underside of the penis into the tube. This also carries some of the internal tissue of the extreme top of the scrotum into the tube as well.

Lubrication helps.

I pump up again, feel the "burn" and observe the length.

Repeat as necessary until no more length increases are evident.

In this manner I have gone from a vacuum-induced length of 5 1/2 inches at the beginning of December to 6 1/4inches at the middle of April.

Of course, in December, I was inexperienced at vacuuming and may not have been getting optimal results.

So, some of the apparent length increase may be an effect of improved vacuuming technique rather than actual length increase, but I don't think all of it. I figure at least 1/4 inch is actual recovery of lost elasticity.

I was told (and I have read) that the bladder is pulled down and stitched....the penis cannot be shortened because the pubic bone is there....but the urethra pulling and "holding" the penis makes logical sense....Hmmm....

No scarring or Peyronies that I know of. Scarring is why I was afraid that I waited to long. I guess time will tell....

Sorry I was not so clear...that part on me that seems to swell is the bottom-most part of the shaft that is INSIDE the tube...I will try to see a little more of what's happening.
