Not sure where to post this but since I am on injections I figured I'd post it here.
I was reading on the web and came across a short article that didn't mention any specifics other than to say that there is surgery that is sometimes done to correct venous leak. Has anyone heard of this? If it is available I would think it would be a great thing for anyone who is a candidate. Not sure what would make one a good candidate, or how effective it is (if indeed it exists), but thought I'd post the idea and see if it is something any of you have heard of?

1) Click on Board Index (upper center left).
2) Go to the search bar (upper center right).
3) Type in vein ligation and click the little magnifying glass icon.
4) You'll get quite a few results. Read a bunch of them.

I have no medical qualifications of any kind and have no experience with the procedure. However, solely based on what I've read on this forum I'd personally be leery of the procedure.
Good luck.

Re: Corrective surgery for vein leak?
Very cursory research leads me to think that the procedure doesn't have a very good success rate and good results are temporary.

Re: Corrective surgery for vein leak?
Thanks for the heads-up on how to search for it. I didn't know the correct search term to use.
Yikes! That is some scary results! I am glad I have the resources of the members here. It sounded like a good solution of the face of it, but turns out to be not the case. Again, thanks.

Yeah, on the face of it, it seems like that might be a good solution for the problem, but I guess not. The initial idea was probably good, just didn't work as well as anticipated.
