Hello, makes sense, your first injection. I would have also stated, insert needle dry (no injection, empty) in the fatty area near the belly button. A couple of times if need be. Once comfortable with that. Use fresh each session. Insulin needles are really small. I am diabetic, so I have that experience. I just dart it in. almost no pain, might hit a tiny nerve.
No the harder part. Best if penis has some fill, not totally flaccid and too narrow (use pump or?). Correctly stated above, pick a spot with no veins. I touch the needle down. Sometimes on a spot where I DO feel the needle, just pick another spot. One where you do not feel the edge. Also I have recently got the sharpest needles I could find. I may be wrong, but B D brand is what I use now, cheap online. Also smaller syringe 31g 0.3ml. Or 0,5ml if you inject that much. After touchdown, I just slowly increase pressure (or the push) and let the needle glide in. Since I use 8mm, I must let it go down all the way in and push it a little more, or you won't be in enough. If I do get pain, I find another spot, but usually only on the skin itself do I find a tender spot. Then ease the plunger down slowly all the way, and pull that sucker out.

I'll grant humor may be found in your post. And I'll gladly praise your support for men seeking information and support regarding implant issues. However, I fail to see where your post is in any way helpful to a new poster, a fellow ED sufferer seeking help and/or support in trying to find if injections will offer him a satisfying option to his situation. Some sort of encouragement would seem more appropriate, that or silence.
Sorry if the comments offended your sensibilities. As I said, the remark gets a ton of laughs at seminars so I guess most guys can relate to it. If it helps, I always encourage guys to stick with whatever treatment modality is working for them before considering an implant. I'm not at these seminars to be a salesman for implants and I make that very clear. It definitely helps get questions flowing whenever any humor can lighten the mood. As I said, it helps if you're there. But your point is well taken I assure you.

bldoink;
I did see the humor in Dave's post. Not all posts are going to be directed an one group (gay, straight, implant, needle, young, old, Frank Talk veteran vs newbie). One thing I am finding increasingly concerning is more and more people are finding jokes, comments, etc offensive. While some things are offensive, some things just require thick skin. I mean, really, if you wanted to cause grief for someone, you could just be in ear shot of the person you want to cause grief for and listen to them for a few minutes. I am quite certain that you would be able to find something offensive before too long. This is not a good thing

Sorry Larry,
You misread my post. I took no offence. I did see the humor. I'd imagine I'm one of the most thick skinned guys on here. Actually I'm sure of it. I just felt that, by itself, in light of the original post, the post in question was not helpful and was in actuality harmful. Given the current state of the OP, he needed support, encouragement and responses that would minimize his fear and apprehension. The response in question did none of those but instead, IMHO, would tend to exacerbate the fears of the OP. Taking offence had nothing to do with it. I then made my response and Dave made a well written reply. End of story, I thought.
