Priapism concerns and doubts + My incidents.

Hello everyone. I've been reading this forum for a while, doing some research about priapism and I'm confused.
I'm 36 years old, suffering a whole life of ed basically.
I would appreciate if someone with knowledge on this topic could help me to clarify a few points, as I'm having some serious anxiety due to a couple of incidents.

Regarding priapism, in general, do you guys agree with this?:

- Priapism is ROCK HARD with NO LET UP, VERY PAINFUL, COLD to the touch, DICK dark blue/purple
- Priapism does NOT mean fluctuation between 70% (bendable) and 100% (rock hard).
- Having an erection for a long time is not a big problem if the penis is still warm
- if the erection went slightly soft and then went hard again, you RESTART your erection timer from the start of that erection not from your initial erection. The reason for this is you were getting good blood flow at the last softening so that is like starting over with erections.
- In a case of true priapism, the erection doesn't comes down by itself and will always need ER treatment.

In 2014, I had a +4 hours erection induced by trimix injection, which ended up in the ER, getting the blood drained. Apparently, there were no issues or permanent damage.

Now, a few days ago, by mistake, I exceed the 24 hours maximun dose of viagra. At 12:35am i took 50mg extra and had a 4 hours sex session with a girl. After the last sexual act, I realized that my erection wasn't coming down (fast as usual). Then, after a few minutes I checked again with my hand and was still hard. I had to move a bit around and was able to finally kill the erection after a few minutes. Then at 5:06 am, I looked my penis in the mirror, and was flaccid, but big, I mean, bigger than usual. I wonder if this still has the potential to make some damage? As it is still somehow a little bit of an erection I guess.
The thing is, I don't remember if my penis was erect during the full 4 hours session, cause I didn't pay attention to it. If there would have been a "priapism" type of erection during the whole session, would I have noticed it? All I know is that after almost 4 hours of taking the last pill and around 10 minutes after my last sexual act, my erection wasn't coming down (and this is very unusual for me, as it usually comes down very fast after orgasm) and at 4+ hours, it was already completely flaccid, but still (abnormally) big and I got a bit scared.

Not sure if I'm overreacting, but now after this last incident, I can only get soft erections, and I'm scared as hell. This thing is eating my brain. I hope someone could guide me with this doubts, as I'm having a real hard time, thinking that now I actually did some permanent damage to my penis and I feel very stupid about it, as I already dodged the bullet once.

I’m not sure I’m qualified to answer. If a 70% erection is bendable, then I’ve probably never had a 100% one regardless of what chemicals I’ve used.

I have, however, asked my doctors a whole lot of questions. This is what I’ve gathrred.

If it’s warm and blood is managing to get out as well as in, you’re ok.

If your dick is cold to the touch an ER visit might not be a bad idea. Especially if it’s hurting or if sensation has profoundly decreased.

I think any guy doing injections would be well served to keep sudafed or something similar for emergencies. Popping a couple of those can go a long ways towards getting an injection based erection to subside.

Of course it helps if your venous leakage is pretty bad. I could take a shot, a 100 mg Vuagra, and get a nice boner but if I discontinue the sexual stimulation it never took long before the erection would diminish. I might end up with a large, heavy, blood filled semi erection for 6-8 hours but without stimulation I wouldn’t have to worry about priapism type erections.

Ice. Cold shower. Sudafed. Exercise. If you’ve got an erection that can overcome all that I’d say you wère pretty lucky.

So, in a few words, if an erection fluctuates between rock hard - soft erection - semi flaccid to hard again, it means we are in the safe side, regardless of the duration, right?

The scared part can be a self fulfilling prophesy. Try to just chill out for a few days. Nothing can kill a boner faster than fear, worry or paranoia.

You might be right. Saying I’m no doctor would be an understatement.

I had relied on cold showers because of the shrinkage I see in the cold. Also cold tends to slow down incoming arterial blood flow and while it constricts surface blood vessels it doesn’t impair flow away from the penis via blood vessels not near the surface, ie the deep dorsal vein. Which not coincidentally appears to be the one I own which leaks the most. It’s like an eight lane superhighway.

I feel for the guys who have E D that is so difficult to treat.....where you can get enough of a drug to achieve 100% erection but the difference between that and a dose that would cause priapism is dangerously small. That was never an issue for me. They could max me out on anything. If I got a 70% erect tool they considered it usable, go forth and sin some more. No worries about priapism because the venous leakage that we can’t stop completely is gonna ensure an erection doesn’t last too long.
