Difference in erection quality - Viagra vs. Injection
Difference in erection quality - Viagra vs. Injection
Viagra stopped working for me after working great at the smallest dose for 20 years. It just fell off the edge of a cliff over the course of a few weeks. I have successfully been using injections since. I get a very firm erection lasting 3 hours but sex just isn't as pleasurable. I really miss getting an 'organic' hard on because I'm turned on. I used to enjoy the ebb and flow of erectile quality. With the injections it's like my penis is just always hard, with a sense of detachment from the rest of my body. I miss that mind penis dialogue. Does anyone understand where I'm coming from? It's really hit my libido. I am no longer 'responding' to what my partner does. My erection has just become a tool to get the job done. Sorry for the rant.
42yr, ED from mid 20s. Currently trailing Invicorp. Single dose of 0.35 ml contains 25 mcg Aviptadil and 2mg Phentolamine. First injection gave 4 hour erection with half standard dose placing me at risk of priapism. Help!

I somehow feel you, I have trouble orgasming with the injection and with the pde5 I can (somehow) orgasm.

I can orgasm fine but it’s not the same buzz. ‘Getting’ an erection and ‘having’ one are two different things. injections feel bogus. like I’m wearing a strap on dildo

I'd recommend, if you didnt try yet, "overdosing" the pde5i.
In the trials they were tested with way higher dose.
I am actually using 30mg tadalafil daily (equals to on-demand dose of 48mg) 100mg sildenafil and 100mg avanafil.
you could easily up to 200mg sildenafil.
If this does not work, combine the pde5i and the injections, the second round some hours later without the injection will work way better.
ps: i am in a german forum where they/ some get similar results to the injections with very high doses of pde5i (80mg tadalafil + 2 or 3 times sildenafil)
Good luck.
ps: no medical advice but read the literature about the dosing of the pde5i. the current recommended doses are the ones where most of the people got the best results with minimal sides.
Best,

Re: Difference in erection quality - Viagra vs. Injection
thanks for the tip re combining injection with pde5i
I've been scared of ramping up the dose. just 2 years ago taking 100 mg viagra would have been unthinkable. I might try it though. just the confidence of knowing I have it in my toolbox for the odd occasion might be worth it.
have you tried bremelonatide?

Yes, it does not help with the quality of the erection for me, it just gives a random boner without knowing when it will hit and it does not increase libido. Did not like it.
Maybe try taking some daily tadalafil (daily doses will lower the experienced side effects) and try on-demand sildenafil. Trust me, it will definitely work better than just the on demand sildenafil.

Neither Viagra or injections will increase your libido unfortunately. I personally hate the side effects of viagra...facial flushing etc! Injections are the worse of two evils In my book. Worse thing is when you just want a quickie then got a bone on for 3 hours lol
UK/40/Good looking/Viridal 8MCG 0.2ml all good so far/Friend's call me J Wadd.
Re: Difference in erection quality - Viagra vs. Injection
Actually Viagra did increase my libido which I guess is partly a function of confidence. If I receive an external stimulus and I can reliably expect my penis to respond (due to viagra) my desire is enhanced. I used to take viagra in all kinds of situations with women. I enjoyed having a penis that responded to sexual thoughts all the way from dinner to the bedroom. With the injection I can't give myself that permission to desire sex until i get home and sneak off to the bathroom.

Re: Difference in erection quality - Viagra vs. Injection
I very much appreciate the philosophy on this site as it relates to, "to each his own".
Some guys are into sex, and lots of of it. Others want a functional dick that gets that job done when they get the urge (whether with a partner or solo). Some guys believe in the "process", love making starts well before the penis is inserted into the vagina, or somewhere else (begins with provocative mental images or a slight touch). Others, are more wham-bam-thank you ma'am (who needs all that thinking?).
And as far as what science has brought to us, we have a pretty nice and diversified representation of experiences on FrankTalk: PDE5s (pills), Injections (trimix, etc), and Implants. One size does not fit all (and apparently our sizes vary, a lot -- and apparently each one can get the job done, yet firmness does seem to have the upper hand over soft). That may be the one common theme, what makes us feel most manly is a rigid pecker that lasts long enough, but not too long.
With that off my chest, getting the required firmness for me requires 15 units of trimix. 100 mg of sildenafil is a bust. Someone suggested 200 mg of sildenafil. Here's where my question comes...10 pills of my 20 mg sildenafil would be one-third of my monthly Rx and cost about $15. One shot of trimix is about $2. I'm an engineer, I do the math. Is there a less expensive PDE5 out there for me? I think the orgasm and lead-in "process" with pills is a benefit. Just too expensive, and I haven't yet achieved the results with pills that I do get with the trimix.

Injections when they work can give an erection like a 15 year old dreaming about his 25 year old teacher
Far better than viagra
Simply incredible actually
