Hi guys, so I went to a doctor to get a doppler test done so I can find out what the cause of the ED is and he gave me caverject to start the doppler, but the maximum rigidity I achieved was 50% erect. It came to me as a surprise since then from the doppler he did he said that the inflow and outflow were okay, but it even came to him as a surprise that I didn’t get an erection, so I had some questions:
1. Is the erection created from an injection dependent on the psychological condition, meaning for example, if you get an injection but then are scared, or anxious or stressed, will it nevertheless work or no?
2. What are some other causes for an injection to not work properly?
3. I had some rough pain on the base of the shaft, and it is quite similar when i sometimes get erect without injections. It feels like a muscle blockage or something, so has anyone felt the same kind of thing with and without an injection?
I thank you all in advance
My injection at the doctor failed

Your psychological condition can play a part but the correct injection dose will generally overwhelm your psychological condition, so yes, the shot (correct dose) will work regardless.

Well if you didn't get the correct dose it won't work. Some guys require a much, much stronger dose than others. If the person who administered the shot "missed" it won't work. And don't assume that just because a medical professional of some sort gave the shot they know how to do it correctly. You could have a very bad venous leak and shots will never work. Probably some other possible causes too.

The alprostadil, the active ingredient of Caverject, does cause varying degrees of pain in a fair percentage of men. This decreases over time with many of those men, with experience. A certain percentage of men just can't tolerate alprostadil. As you have the pain with or without the injection I doubt this is your issue. Other than that I have no idea of the cause of your pain and I suggest it's a question for a medical professional.
Good luck

Re: My injection at the doctor failed
My first ever shot done by the doctor to teach me how to do it and observe the eventual effect failed... At first i thought i was "doomed" but he gave me the EDEX 20 prescription and told me to try again at home, when alone or with a GF.
It did work eventually, so it's very much about technique and sadly, luck.

Is this the same regarding ED Pills as well? Like if I took 1 of each (100mg Viagra, 20mg Cialas, and 20mg of Levitra) will that dose override my Psychological Condition? This is a huge question for me because I've taken that and sometimes more and absolutely NOTHING!!!!

No the pills and the shots don't work the same way. I have nerve damage from cancer surgery. Pills will not give me an erection regardless of any stimulation or psychological arousal. However injections work well. I will get an erection with an injection with no stimulation or arousal. With pills, if they work for you, you will need arousal and/or stimulation for them to work.

But back in the day, I use to take just a quarter of a viagra and be hard as a rock while staring at the wall. No arousal or sexual stimulation at all. Now I can take tons of them and nothing at all.
