new to injecting
reading posts here and thinking about trying the injections...I need a little help, but am not at the point where I would say I have ED...no problem getting an erection, but just don't have the stamina to maintain it for as long as I need to for her satisfaction. As soon as I break a sweat and the heart rate goes up, the little friend goes down...my uro has suggested injections, but they seemed scary!...I told him I was not that desperate yet, but I think it's time to reconsider...any advise from experienced users...unomix, duomix, trimix or quad mix?..kind of confusing and I would like to have an intelligent conversation with my uro, just don't know enough now to even know what questions to ask...any advise?...and thanks for sharing!...stan
Re: new to injecting
Good evening Stan,
My problems were the same as yours.... Unable to keep an erection during intercourse.
Now use the unomix PGE-1 with great results for the last four years. As you age... things change.
You should receive a lot of comments on this subject.
My best to you....

Age 80 good health. Radiation prostate 28 hits 4 years ago with 6 months of horrible ADT. Good recovery and ED worse.
Can't tolerate oral drugs but 5 years of Alprostadil 40mcg/ml 25 units is a miracle for 3 hours. GF is happy!!

Re: new to injecting
I've had good luck with the mono-mix AKA straight alprostadil. There was some ache at first but that moderated with continued use. The injections are not hard to do. There's a little learning curve but it's really pretty easy and there's generally little if any pain.
Bear in mind that some of the guys that had poor luck with injections, for some unknown reason seem to feel the need to talk down the injection option and discourage others from trying the option. An option that works very well for many men.

Re: new to injecting
Stan, I have not been using injections as long as some men on here, only about 18 months. My issue was with cialis (20mg) I could get an erection but it would not last long enough to complete intercourse for me or my wife. My uro suggested injections and I asked her "you want me to stick a needle in my cock???. She had me watch some online videos of other men injecting and those gave me a great sense of relief. I got my Trimix and some syringes and made my appointment. She injected 20 units (I didn't even feel the needle go in or out)! She said she would be back in 10 minutes and to see if I could arouse myself. WELL, in 5 minutes I had an erection I had not had in over 50 years. She came back in, said let me see your erection and then said, "go home and have some fun with your wife". Since then I have refined my dose as 20 units causes an ache in the head of my cock. I now inject 10 units for a 2 hour erection and 5 units for a 30 to 45 minute erection if I want to go solo.
I use two needles: Both are for insulin but work excellant for Trimix. I use a 5/16 inch 31 gauge and a 1/2 inch 30 gauge. I get my Trimix in four 2.5ml vials. I keep one in the fridge with about 6 filled syringes and the rest in the freezer.
If you have more questions you can Private Message me and I will get back to you.

..thank you..is the ache supposed to be less with the trimix?..I assume the monomix is a weaker strength and less painfull?

thanks duck...you went straight to the. trimix without trying the alprostadil alone?..did she give you a reason for doing that?..I would think, and have been reading that you should start with a lesser dose..

She started me on the Trimix. See my signature for mix. I have had no problems except the aching in head of cock which smaller dose fixed. We usually only have sex once so even a 5 unit dose gives us plenty of time.

If you are particularly susceptible to "alprostadil ache" then you can potentially have less ache with tri-mix which includes the other ingredients allowing the use of a lesser amount of the alprostadil.
The mono-mix I use is actually pretty potent at 80mcg per ml. I'm currently using 8 to 15 units. The 15 units is for penetration and with a novelty cock ring. My ED is the result of a RP and is pretty profound, as in pills do nothing and never did. I have NO natural erection response.

Re: new to injecting
Stan....Don't know why some are prescribed monomix, bimix, trimix, or quad mix? My DR prescribed monomix and he was near spot on with the dosage. Had some minor aching in the dick but only after orgasm. Now the aching is about gone...almost unnoticeable. Had high burning pain with trying a friend's trimix. Have read that some guys have pain with monomix and visa versa. The 31 gauge needle stick is very light pain for one second. i actually look forward to injecting as knowing the fun will soon begin.
Tried auto inject which is painless but not as accurate as just sticking it without.
Guess just follow your Dr's advise and see what happens.
My best to you...
