Hard to push plunger

Postby flyingduck2019 » Sun Nov 15, 2020 10:35 am

I am having a problem with some of the syringes I am using. After loading and inserting the needle the plunger is hard to move to dispense the juice. I think it might be the brand of syringe but not sure. So far it has only been the syringes with a 1/2 inch needle. My 5/16 inch syringes slide right to the bottom of the chamber with very little pressure. I have read where there is a type of lubricant you can apply to the rubber stopper that will make it easy to push the plunger.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I tried preloading syringes and storing them in the freezer for a bit. I had a difficult time injecting with some of those as (I believe) some of the medication crystallized or precipitated out of solution in the chamber or needle. I tried making sure there was an air bubble at the needle end when they went in the freezer but that didn’t help. So I gave up on freezing preloaded syringes.

But it sounds like you are describing drawing up the medication and then immediately having trouble injecting it.

Looking at the solution in the vial, there is no precipitate correct? No crystals or things that look like grains of salt or sand in the bottle of the vial?

I would never apply anything to the plunger of a syringe that I was going to use to inject medications. That would break sterility and increase the risk of getting an infection. So don’t pursue lubricating the plunger.

Instead I would just get a new batch of syringes and trash these ones. It’s possible you got a batch that wasn’t manufactured well.

What brand are you having trouble with?

Yeah, like he said. Get a different batch and brand. They are fairly cheap.

I was instructed to work the plunger back and forth about 5 times before actually loading the syringe, to free up what can otherwise be a stiff plunger. I think that is a fairly common instruction and you are probably doing that already, but just an idea.

I will check the brand of syringe and get back. Last night, a couple of hours prior to sex, I loaded a syringe. I moved the plunger back and forth a few times and then loaded it. I then put it in the fridge until ready to inject. (I have a single silverware tray I keep in the small meat drawer where I keep the bottle of juice and filled syringes). About 40 minutes before sex I got the syringe, went to the bathroom and stuck the needle into my cock. I had to push real hard on the plunger before it dispensed the juice. As I stated in my first post, I don't have this issue with my 5/16 syringes.
I don't have many of the ones left that are troublesome, so when they are gone I will get the same brand of 1/2 inch needles as the 5/16 brand.

When using 1/2 inch needles, sometimes I have to back it out a bit in order to depress the plunger. when using the auto injector I have it set to 3/8 inches and is always perfect. I went through the same thing and still do.

malibog,
I suggest warming up the Trimix (whether in a syringe or a vial) first. Even just chilled in the refrigerator can make things difficult. It may have been thicker from the cold.
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

I have this problem sometimes but it's not related to the syringe. I use 5/16 needles and as I penetrate my penis I hit resistance, most likely a thickened tunica. I have to carefully apply more pressure until the needle is fully in. When I'm in that area it's very difficult to depress the syringe - it takes a lot of force but it does eventually empty. If I hit an area where the needle penetrates without resistance it's very easy to depress. Perhaps you just need that extra 1/16 to fully penetrate the tunica and other tissue.

I suspect my tunica has developed scarring from the injections even though I've only been using them for about 2 years. I did develop Peyronies shortly after I started injections so I assume my tunica is scarred.

Guys---- I said I would repost with the name of the syringe that is giving me a problem. Well, believe it is the BD Insulin Syringe, 30ga, 1/2 inch needle. I checked several this morning and even when you want to pull the plunger back to free it the plunger is really hard to move. If I push it back down to the stop and try to pull back it still has a lot of resistance.

Conversely, I also have Easy-Touch 30ga syringes in both 5/16 and 1/2 inch needles. I tested several of each and the plungers pull back with very little resistance. Just as a test, I will be injecting this evening :D and I will be using a one-touch, 30ga, 1/2 inch needle. I will see how easy it is to push the plunger in.

Yep, that is just confirmation of what I've posted about several times. BD brand are quality syringes but they have excessive (for our purposes) plunger resistance. That's why I do not use that brand.
