My uro injected 30 units in the office and said it was about 20-30%. I was told to inject 40 units when I try it at home. From what I have read on here that sounds like a lot and a trip to the ER. What do you guys think, should I go with 40 or back off for the 1st time?

If you are that leary, you could do an injection with 30 units to see how it goes again. If you get the same results, increase it by 5 units. My uro made his injection with 20 units, that was too much, I've worked it down to 8 units for about 2 to 2 1/2 hour erection. When you get the doseage issue resolved, believe me, it is well worth the effort. Good luck, let us know how it works out for you.

It's amazing how differently we respond to Trimix. It could be that this is a weak or basic formulation of Trimix. Forty does not sound like a lot if 30 units gave you only a 20 to 30 percent erection. I used forty units of a stronger formulation for an erection that might last about two hours. I cut back to 35 last time for an erection that lasted just long enough for ejaculation. I personally wouldn't hesitate to use 40 if 30 produced only a semi erection. This isn't advice, just my opinion for myself.

Could the reason why guys react differently is because of size. Maybe a larger penis needs a larger dose? I use 10units and get up for 2 hrs. A friend who is much larger than me has to use 25 units.

I forgot to mention that the 20-30% reaction was on the injection only with no stimulation. The Dr. said you only want about a 50% reaction with no stimulation. I went back to work and never had any more progress from what happened at the Dr's office. They also said to use Neosynefrin nasal spray per directions to knock it down. I haven't seen this mentioned here but they said it works every time. I don't know what the formulation is but the Dr. will only issue the prescription to 2 compounding pharmacies in town. They said that these 2 were the only formulations they trusted. I guess I need to trust the Dr. since they have a lot more experience than me. I just don't want the 1st time to end up bad for me and my wife.

I found out the formulation is 18/1/10. Now for the news. We tried it out last night and the result was less than stellar. At 40 units it took about 10 minutes to get to 60-70% and that lasted about 5 minutes. It then went down to about 30-40% for about 10 minutes and then went completely limp. However the pain (not ache) in my the base of the penis and testicles lasted for about 4 hours. I do mean pain. I took a pain pill that is for a neck issue which is about 5 times as strong as the strongest Lortab and it was still enough to keep me awake for the 4 hours. I did everything by the book even pulling back on the plunger to check for blood. What could have went wrong?
