So not really looking for any feedback here, but just wanted to give an update since people here have been good about sharing advice and insights and experiences...
Up: I had been debating continuing with injections due to the pain. I am up to 40 units at the high dose trimix. I thought I might call it quits at 35u. Tonight I injected 40u, and with both of the last two injections there was less aching. Not sure if I'm just getting used to it or if I have figured out the right pace of injecting slowly, either way I'm up for more. Still not enough of an erection for intercourse, but the reduced pain is worth noting. I don't have high hopes, but willing to keep going. Now I just need to decide if I want to pay for another vial. Actually, if anybody wants to weigh in on shelf life of an open vial, I'm listening. Currently at about 38 days. Might be another week before I can inject again.
Down: I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had surgery to remove a tumor the end of last October. I am at my first 3 month follow-up. On Monday I got the lab results from a urine FISH test a weekish ago. Results were positive - cancer detected. Sometimes I hate the electronic connected world. Would have rather heard that from my urologist than than see it in mychart . Anyway Friday is my physical exam and meeting with my cancer urologist. That will likely leave me out of commission (sexually) for a few days or so. My body doesn't seem to care for the scope. Right now just hoping for some sort of "false positive" and a clean bill of health (relatively speaking).
Still generally considering an implant even though my wife is not in favor. Unfortunately, right now, I have other concerns to get through first.

Quick follow-up: Cancer-free for now. Earlier lab results were not really a positive but more of a "look closely and carefully" indicator in my context.

Congratulations on the better cancer results. That kinda stuff always hangs in the back of the mind. I pray you remain cancer free.
As for shelf life: The alprostadil is the component of tri-mix that is quickly perishable, especially at room temperature and is fairly short even when refrigerated. Most guys keep their juice frozen. I've used mine frozen that was nearly a year old and with good results. Not knowing how your juice was stored there would be no way to even guess at it's shelf life. The alprostadil potency supposedly reduces quickly in mere days when not frozen.

Re: ups and downs
I have kept my straight Aprostadil in the fridge at 33° and even after one year some of my old stuff still works fine. When I get low I'll order a new vial but still use the old stuff now and then until it is exhausted. Keep a vial at my house and one at GF's house to be safe. Her fridge temp is 37 degrees and have not noticed any difference.
Age 80 good health. Radiation prostate 28 hits 4 years ago with 6 months of horrible ADT. Good recovery and ED worse.
Can't tolerate oral drugs but 5 years of Alprostadil 40mcg/ml 25 units is a miracle for 3 hours. GF is happy!!

Re: ups and downs
Good news on the one side, no cancer!
When using Trimix then Quadmix I found that when keeping a vial in the fridge it went weak in maybe 5-6 weeks. Always kept the additional vials in the deep freeze, but noted those would get weak even quicker after placed in the fridge.
When I moved to Quadmix it only took me 2 orders, 4 vials to find it wasn't working anymore. Day it arrived injected 10 units and had a great reaction. By the end of that vial I was up to 40 units with results that varied. By the 4th vial it was hit or miss at 80 units and the pain after just wasn't worth it anymore.
Wife was iffy about the implant, but told her I wasn't ready to give up our intimate relationship yet and she got on board.
