I pick up my prescription tomorrow. I dont know very much to be honest. All I know is that its Trimix and that its ratio is 30/1/10 which is I think the weakest cocktail that the docs give. I do not know yet how much I'm supposed to inject yet but I went and bought some needles already based on what I've read here. I bought the following:
.5 mL
31 Gauge
8mm (5/16) Length
I have 2 questions:
1. What is a unit?
2. I'm kinda worried about the length because I've seen 5/16 and well as a half inch length but I went with the shorter one to be safe. If your flaccid penis is bigger should you go with the half inch....how does that work?
Thanks in advance and I'm nervous af but looking forward to Valentines Day!

Those should be fine to start with.

For our purposes it's 1/100 of a ml. If you bought U-100 insulin syringes they will be marked in units. If they aren't U-100 insulin syringes they likely won't be. If U-100 syringes they will say it on the package.

Either will work. You will have to learn which is best for you. I use the 5/16 but I bury the needle and have the plastic nub indenting my skin. I could use either.

You'll be fine. Get in some practice beforehand.

It says on the package "Use with U-100 insulin for 50 units or less"

Re: WHAT IS A UNIT
It starts at 10 units and then goes up by 5 units (15, 20, 25, 30, and so on).

Sounds like U-100 syringes to me.

Well hopefully there's smaller marks between the numbers to indicate single units or at least every 2 units. You might not even use 10 units. You probably will use more then 10 units but you might need just 7 or 8 units so you may need syringes that have finer measurements. If you use much less then 30 units consider getting .3cc/ml syringes. They will have the finer markings and the plungers will provide less resistance.
As a side note, while BD brand syringes are often considered the best and of the highest quality, I personally don't like them for dick sticking purposes. The reason is that BD brand syringes seem to have substantially heavier plunger resistance which makes it more difficult for me to determine proper needle placement. Otherwise, I accept that they may be the best brand.

Re: WHAT IS A UNIT
Boneback, ditto to what bldoink said. If it will give you some security, I have a small cock, only 4 inches hard. I either have my wife help me or I do it myself, and get a partial erection, about 30% before injecting. I use both the 5/16 and 1/2 inch needles and have never went all the way through my dick. Also, as mentioned, I also stopped using the BD syringes for the same reason. I now buy my own and I get "easy-touch" brand. The stoppers go both ways very easily, making injecting a whole lot easier.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. It's great being 18 again at age 74!

Re: WHAT IS A UNIT
I found that if you move the plunger up and down several times before injecting, it reduces the resistance.

Re: WHAT IS A UNIT
I really appreciate the willingness of you guys to help me out. I'm going to the doctor today to get trained up on it. I'm gonna tell him to train me up without injecting me...basically do everything except inject me because I need to go to the gym and I'm afraid that if it works too well I will have a woody at the gym or I'd have to wait a while before I'm able to go. As far as the brand of needles, I went to the Walgreens pharmacy and got them so on the package it says that the brand is Walgreens (I didn't know they had their own brand of needles). If the injection off of the 30/1/10 cocktail is week then I wonder how much increase id need to go to get the desires affect....

Bad idea. It is advisable to have that first injection under doctors supervision (I didn't!) in case of an extreme response resulting in priapism. That 1st injection under doctors supervision is also how he/she knows what dose to have you start at.

They don't make syringes. They just have one of the other manufacturers make and label them for them. I use Publix brand syringes. Same deal. I think they are SureFine but I can't say for sure. Made in Korea.

Everyone is different. Trial and error (titration) is the only way to find out. You may even have to reduce your dose from the first trial.
