can 1/2 inch needle go too far?
can 1/2 inch needle go too far?
I use a half inch needle and my doctor told me to push the needle all the way in. Sometimes when I inject nothing happens. Is it possible the needle is going too far in and I am going through urethra?
Re: can 1/2 inch needle go too far?
I don't think you hit urethra, cause if you did it would really smart.ive bounced off corpra once and hit top spongenus and my reaction was to immediately pull it back out, mat that smarted. I then just moved over and put in a good spot. I am only like 2-3" when flaccid so I plump it up some and inject with a 5/16 31 gage needle, otherwise I would probably go thru. Try a new spot and you'll feel the needle on tunica, when it gets to the corpra, I kind of jiggle it the rest of way in and you will feel if it went into corpra. 3 or 9 o'clock position. If your flaccid penis is smaller or thinner you might want to try a 5/16 needle and see if your results are better. I don't know why you might have hit urethra, unless you were injecting down from ten o'clock position. Slow down, take your time and find a good spot to inject. It sometimes takes me up to 20 mins to find a spot where there's no veins on tunica and corpra, I have thin foreskin so I can move around and see the raised veins on corpra most of the time, but I'm cut as an infant and it's probably easier that uncut guys, cause possibly a thicker tunica than me. Hope this helped.

Yeah, I've managed to drill the urethra once or twice. Yes it's possible to go too deep with a 1/2". It's even possible to do it with a 5/16". You may not want to bury the needle. With a 1/2" I don't. You need to learn to feel if you're in the correct spot. The plunger should be easy to depress. You should be able to aspirate blood into the syringe without difficulty. Read as many of the older injection threads as you can.

Re: can 1/2 inch needle go too far?
I, like Lebert, have a smaller cock when flaccid, only 1 to 2 inches. I use the bathroom mirror to inject so I stand in front of it, massage my cock until I get about a 30 to 40% boner. I then can see where I want to put the needle and also miss any veins. I am uncut, so I have quite a bit of foreskin and I just take two fingers and pull the foreskin back to the base of my cock which pull my cock to one side, depending on which side I am going to inject in. I then inject. I use both a 1/2 inch and 5/16 inch needle. I may have hit the pee canal once or twice with the 1/2 inch needle but never with the 5/16. It all boils down to each person has to play with the way they inject and find the best spot, angle, needle length and dose. Once you find the answer to those things you should have smooth sailing. There are probably no guys on this site that have not had a fizzle from time to time, so if it happens just keep going. I have on a few occasions had an injection fizzle with no results. I will load a second syringe with about 5 units and inject on the other side of my cock and within about 10 minutes have a boner ready to ride.
Good Luck.

I'm still rather new at this, but I bought both the 30ga 1/2" needles and the 31ga 5/16" needles . I started with the 1/2 and have not had problems after a number of injections. I tried the technique of injection all but the last 1-2 16ths of an inch, but after punching through the tunica it's hard to stop full penetration. All injections were 100% successful without much pain and no bruising or blood. Since I'm on blood thinners I do compress the injection site for a full 6 minutes.
Will try the smaller needle soon with the indent method. It looks really small, but assume less tissue damage with the thinner needle.

There really isn't much difference between 30 and 31 gauge. If what you're doing now works well for you, stick with it. Don't mess with success.
