Orgasm Post Prostatectomy & Radiation

Postby JPBacchus » Fri Mar 05, 2021 5:18 am

Hi All,

I am trying to get perspective on sexual experience. I had a nerve-sparing prostatectomy ~18 months ago and I was able regain the ability to have an erection within 6-12 months with viagra assist. Now I have to have salvage radiation due to rising PSA salvage radiation and the radiation will destroy any benefit of nerve sparing surgery. I've been told trimix injection is the only option to get an erection. Does anyone have experience with this situation and whether an orgasm is possible. The radiation will kill nerves for performance of erectile function but I am clear on whether a real orgasm is possible with many of the nerves destroyed. Any insights are welcome. Thanks

Well Hi to you,

I also had supposedly nerve-sparing prostatectomy about 10 years ago. My cancer was in the margins so I guess not so many nerves were spared. The result is complete ED with no natural or pill aided erections ever. Thankfully alprostadil injections work well. I do have some anagorgasmia as a result of the prostatectomy, so yes the big O much is harder to reach, but it is reachable and is very satisfying when reached. Yes, a real orgasm is possible.

I've never had any radiation treatments and I've never used tri-mix. I use alprostadil mono-mix.

You won't know until you try trimix or one of the other mix prescriptions. It took me a year of finding the right mix strength proper injection technique. I have not had the surgery you have had. I have tried pumps but trimix is the best remedy so far.
Age 70, post mild heart attack, used viagra from age 63.Trimix now NOT at all.
