Stronger mix.

I started Trimix the first week of February. My mix is 10-1-30.

I’m up to 30 units, with just about 50% erect, certainly not enough for penetration.

Should I call my uro and ask for a stronger mix or keep increasing the dose?

30 units is not a huge amount but your mix is starter mix. Yeah, I go for a stronger mix but I'd keep experimenting with what you have until you get it. That's all assuming your injection technique is good. 30 units would be my preferred maximum injection volume although when on Edex I injected a full ml. IMHO about 15 units is a perfect volume for both ease of metering and injection, but that's just my arbitrary preference. Of course you'll have to start low and work up on your new mix when You get it.

100units (about the maximum volume I ever hear anyone injecting on this forum) is only 1 milliliter. That is a small volume of fluid. Nothing to be concerned about.


If I was getting partial results with 30 units I would increase the dose to 40 units and try again. Once I get up to 70+ Units I talk with my urologist about a stronger mix next time. My reasoning is that I am charged the same $$$ for a 5cc vial of mix regardless of the strength. So if my effective dose is 25 units or 50 units I get 4x or 2x as many doses out of the vial than if my dose is 100units. It’s just about the cost per dose.
