Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
Re: Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
I used Trimix for 12+ years and other then a bruise every now and then, I had no problems. On the plus side, over those years it did increase my girth one inch, 6.5+ inches , a very nice hand full . For whatever reason, I lost that "gained" girth with my implant , but the trade off was well worth it to have a hard dick again .

I've been injecting for almost 20 years with no issues. Perhaps I'm just lucky. I know some men do experience scar tissue which can lead to Pyronies.

I injected for about 4-5 years, first Trimix then Quadmix. Almost always had a bruise on me. It's been about 4 years since my last injection and I still have a bruise in the spot where I injected the most. Otherwise no other issues except it began failing to work so it was implant.

Re: Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
I’ve been injecting for 6 years. Trimix for most of that time, then Quadmix, and now BiMix+Atropine. (Prostaglandins make me ache).
I recently changed urologists and the new one did a very thorough physical exam and noted that there was no trace of scarring or plaques from all of my injections.
I’m sure it can happen to some, but it’s not a foregone conclusion. Papaverine and phentolamine haven’t seemed to cause me any trouble.

55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

Robert,
You might have injected into the urethra. Was it a fresh EDEX package?

Re: Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
I just started with Edex injections and so far I had one successful injection and the other not so much. I thought I did both injections the exact same way but for some reason the 2nd injection produced a less effective erection. Can anyone suggest any pointers or things I can do to get more predictable results?
51 yo in NYC. Viagra no longer reliable after 15 years of use. I have just started trying Trimix injections (July 2021). Papaverine: 18mg, Phentolamine: 0.6mg, Prostaglandin: 5.88ug
Re: Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
In my experience with Peyronie’s disease wasn’t good using injections. I had great erections but the drugs messed up my penis. I was ok with bi-mix was ok. No scaring.
When I switched to tri-mix, scaring developed but more importantly fibrous tissue build up. It got to where the needle would bend when I tried to inject.
My last priapism event, the urologist had difficulty inserting a needle to draw blood.
That was my last injection. Implant shortly after that.

Re: Damage to penile tissue due to use of injectables
I often wonder about this as the ache and burn I get from an effective dose of either Caverject/PGE or TriMix just can't be good, both hurt me. Then there is jabbing the tunica and cavernosa repeatedly, and occasionally a small vein, which causes scaring. (No peyronies here.) I've had a few big hematomas all resolved in a week or so. Twice I've hit the urethra and have wondered if I could have grazed the nerve? I developed DE/Anorgasmia after 1 1/2 years of injections, 3 years later now, so again I wonder. Neither the Uro or a neuroligist can address this. That said, none of this has been a deal breaker for US and we plan to continue enthusiastically as it works well. The cost/risk vs. benefit is there.
NOT an MD. 72, M52 yrs, CenTX US. Inj since 12/2016, a yr after pills stopped working. Caverject for a yr. 1/2018 Tri-Mix at 30 pap/2 phent/60 pge @0.3ml, now 0.5ml 80mcg/ml PGE1. DE/Anorgasmia setting in since 5/2019, worse now.
