Using Bent Needles?

Postby ftwabeck3533 » Fri Aug 06, 2021 8:21 am

I occasionally bend the needle on a new syringe when removing the protective orange cap over the needle. Most recently I bent two needles while trying to poke them through the rubber seal on my 5ml trimix vial.

If the needle is just slightly bent, I use it for injecting into my penis without a problem. If the needle is significantly bent (looks like a Z), I discard it.

Has anyone ever broken off the needle while inserting into your penis, leaving the needle imbedded -- and likely a trip to the ER? This is my greatest fear when injecting.

I have never bent a needle when removing the cap or when inserting into the vial through the rubber stopper, however, I have bent them when injecting, especially on the left side of my cock. It goes in straight and when I move my fingers to push the plunger the syringe sometimes moves and when I pull the needle out it will be bent, not a lot but enough to tell it is bent. My right side is my prominate side as I am right handed. I don't recall bending a needle when injecting on the right side.

I've bent them a little, like flyingduck, but never had a problem in 3 years of injecting with BD brand 31 gauge needles. Do a test with your brand: after use, bend the needle back and forth with a long-nose pliers to see how much it takes to break it. Doing this with a used BD, I find the needle quite hard to break. I think mine would only break in normal use if there were a microscopic flaw in the metal.

I'm more afraid of a priapism ER visit. One of our FT friends reports that they drained his corpus with a 14 gauge needle! Ouch!
