Two different injections didnt work tonight
Two different injections didnt work tonight
So I had been having really good luck with the injections since starting them. Yet tonight I did an injection and nothing.. I gave it 20 or so mins and tried the other side and nothing? I did notice that the plunger on both sides wasn’t quite as smooth and easy to push which I know is what your shooting for. I experimented with different depths and didn’t change plunger ease. Did I somehow just not go in deep enough or hit a bad spot two times in a row or did my medication possibly go bad? We just got back from Mexico two weeks ago and because of a cystoscopy I had this was my first time using it since we got back. I’m wandering if traveling with it ruined it? Even though I kept it on ice packs there and back and when at hotel it stayed in the freezer. It worked the whole time we were there so it would have had to have gone bad on the way back or I messed up the shots tonight. Does anyone have advice or input on this? I know I was at roughly 3 and 9 when I tried and I pushed the needle all the way in. But usually I have to back it out a hair to find the sweet spot. I’m just at a loss. At this point I’m thinking the med may be bad.

Yeah I agree after twice and nothing it has to be the meds have gone bad. For what it’s worth my doc said don’t freeze it. Refrigerator but not freezer. Maybe that killed it or denatured it? Who knows.

Really? My pge-1 says on bottle bag to keep frozen? I thought that kept it good longer? I may try one more time tonight as neither last nite had that smooth plunger push if you know what I mean. Just not sure why it would be bad when it’s stayed cold whole time and a month old vial

Many of us freeze our trimix to extend shelf life, either in syringes and/or in the vial. I don't think freezing was an issue and don't think it went "bad" all at once.
Try again. Maybe 2 or 10, not 3 or 9. Try closer to base of penis, must get through tunica and into corpus cavernosa. Also, your brain plays a big part -- need that horny feeling for it all to work properly.

I would check with your compounding pharmacy, as to frozen/refridge, etc. When I received my last trimix vial, I asked pharmacist about freezing, etc. He said they have tested the mix, and they follow the FDA guidelines. So many months frozen, so many days refrigerated, and so many hours of not refrigerated. I also asked about freezing, unthawing, re freezing, etc. I cannot remember the guidelines as was told to me, so therefore I would ask your pharmacy. Hope you had a great time in Mexico, and stay hard. Good luck!

Re: Two different injections didnt work tonight
Thanks. Mexico was great! So against my better judgement I tried a shot just now again. It got me hard but barely. Only thing I can come up with was flying back and forth with the vial even though in an insulin case kept remotely cold maybe somehow messed up the med. I was pretty focused on hitting a decent spot and making sure the needle was buried all the way and that there wasn’t much resistance against plunger. Two weeks ago I was hard within five mins with shot and wasn’t near as careful after drinking a lot on vacation. Three successful attempts in a row. So I would think it’s not that I’m not getting the med in the right spot three times in a row? Could my body get used to that dose that quick? I wouldn’t think so? Only thing I can come up with is somehow the med has lost effectiveness? At only a month old? I’ve kept it frozen but thawed some during flights and driving . But always kept pretty cold.

I’ll probably just order a new vial Monday and see if that changes things. If not, not sure what I’ll do

I also use pge-1 at 80mcg/ml. My vial label say "If refrigerate, discard after 3 days. If frozen, discard after 45 days."
Straight pge-1 is not tri-mix and does not have near the refrigerated shelf life. If yours lost strength on the trip that was just the cost of the trip.
Frozen, mine has lost only a little potency over nearly a year. Yes, keep it frozen under normal circumstances. My current batch is dated 10-23-20. I receive my 10ml script in ten 1ml vials. Last time my script was going to expire before I would normally refill so I had them fill three scripts worth at once. I've done it before. I keep most of it in the back of my freezer where it freezes solid. The one I'm using out of I keep in the front of the freezer where it usually stays mostly liquid. I guess the saline makes enough difference that one one in the front doesn't usually solidify, but whatever.
I can't remember where at the moment but I have seen charts that indicate pge-1's potency loss over time when kept under different conditions. It does lose potency quickly at room temperature and just refrigerated.
Tri-mix has other ingredients that make the loss of the pge-1 potency less noticeable.
Get a new batch.

Re: Two different injections didnt work tonight
Thanks yeah I have no problem getting a new batch. I was more worried I’m doing something wrong or the injections aren’t working for me after only a month. It did turn from frozen to cold liquid when traveling and worked like a charm while there. It did turn to a liquid on trip back but only for maybe 8 hours and was still cold then frozen again. I keep it frozen except to thaw it and draw some out. So id say right now I’m looking at the vial is coming right up on 4 weeks old.
