phenylephrine injection dose for pariprisim??

Hi, all

Could anyone advise me about phenylephrine injection dose for pariprisim??

Please tell me in detail like injection type, dose etc.

And if it comes up with 10 ml vial then how to deluit?

Please advise ASAP

When I ordered trimix it came with a 5mL bottle of phenylephrine and the instructions said to inject 1mL.

My antidote instructions said 0.5 ml every 3-5 min until resolved. I waited 15 min before additional dose.

I used it once with 2 doses and one with one dose. Then I got mix and dosage correct and never used again.

I had a TriMix teach @ urologist last week and they said just use oral Sudafed 4 pills. The Sudafed behind the counter @ pharmacy not on the shelf. I can see how the injecting is more of a direct solution... certainly you've got a big target at that point.

I think it depends on the strength of the “over dose”. The pills did not work on my first injection that was too strong a mix and too much volume.

so it means 50 unit right? or 1 cc aka 100 unit??

I have 10 mg in 1 ml so if i dilute with 9 ml sline it will be ok rt?

0.5 ml = 50 units.

My prescription did not call for dilution so can’t comment on that. You should follow directions provided by the doctor.

One of my conditions for starting to use Trimix was having the Phenylephrine "antidote" in my possession and fully available to me. Olympia agreed and in addition to the 10ml of Trimix they provided, also provided a 5ml Phenylephrine vial as part of the order. I haven't had to use it, as I started out my Trimix injection journey with only 5 units and worked slowly up from there. But I'm very glad I had it.

I do believe they are talking about to 1 ml of 10 mg phenylephrine dilute with 9 ml sline.
