This may sound stupid, but could someone explain what robotic surgery entails. All I can visualize is R2D2 holding a scalpel.

I'm pretty sure it's online, maybe even on You Tube.
Look up "DaVinci robotic surgery." If memory serves, they use the same machine for heart ops too, probably others.
The surgeon sits at a computer console some feet away from the patient and operates the tiny knives and cameras from there. They are much more accurate than any human's hands.
An interesting thing I read somewhere was: "If ten feet away, why not a thousand miles away?" -- throwing the idea out there that, in theory, it could be done remotely.

UPDATE
History:
At doc's March 15, she injected 5 units, it moved about halfway.
At home, March 19, I did 10 units per her instructions. Way too much, didn't return to normal for 5 painful hours.
So I did 5 units last night. Erection was close to full, certainly hard enough to penetrate a warm pussy. After about an hour, I took fast-acting Sudafed and used heating pad, and it still took another 2 hours to return to normal.
I called the nurse today and she said to go off the daily Cialis and try 2 or 3 units of Trimix in a couple of days and see what happens. She said I should not be staying hard for 3 hours.
And here we go: I told her I had timed-release Sudafed the first time and that's why it probably didn't help any. But it didn't seem to help any last night either, using regular Sudafed. She admitted that she didn't know there were different types of Sudafed. Haha, again, better info here than from the doctor's office.

Re: Just got Trimix and needles . . .
Andy,
Just thought about this a bit and it seems you are taking on faith that you got the right stuff this time.
Simple enough to check:
Is it Phenylephrine version (new reformulation fake version)
Or is it pseudoephedrine version (the real, older formulation).
Get out the magnifying glass and see what it says??

RP 2008 ... MUSE 2008-9 .. TriMix Gel 2009 .. Trimix 2009-2015 ... PGE-1 2016-2019 ..Misoprostal 2019 Onward. All worked.

Jim: I just checked and both the 12 hour timed-release ones I tried the first time AND the second (non-timed) ones are pseudoephedrine.
But neither one seemed to do anything. How long would you expect for them to take effect? The doc's sheet, FWIW, says to take 60 mg, then in a half hour take 60 mg. more.

Re: Just got Trimix and needles . . .
Andy,
Sorry I can't advise. I've never used any and never actually bought any in 3 years Trimixing.
And from numerous anecdotal messages like yours we know it doesn't work for some people (or if it does, very little).
Good to know now what you got for sure! The 12 hr slow release is obviously not a good idea when you really want the quick one minute Nuclear Strike version at time of emergency. One other idea maybe would be to chew them up and slosh around in your mouth -- no matter how bad it might taste -- to get it absorbing thru mouth linings ahead of the stomach absorption.
Or just don't get into another 5 hr erection session!

I will try the chew idea.
What I'm wondering is if I can get a prescription drug that will make it go down. But I suppose calling the uro would be a waste of time if they don't even know that there is more than one kind of Sudafed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: according to this website http://www2.mskcc.org/patient_education ... sh/269.pdf -- I should take twice as much Sudafed immediately. My doc advised taking 60, then in a half hour take another 60. Has anyone here taken more than the recommended amount?
• If you have an erection that lasts 2 hours, take four 30 mg tablets
of pseudoephedrine HCl (Sudafed®). Do not take extended release
or long acting tablets, such as Sudafed® 12 hour. Ask your pharmacist,
doctor, or nurse if you have any questions.

Re: Just got Trimix and needles . . .
Andy,
I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you are having. I have experienced the same troubles with 3 trips to the ER last summer.
So, my URo gave me the injections of Phenylephrine which is what the ER's mainly use to bring that bad boy back down. I use this almost everytime I inject trimix. It might be worthy of a discussion with your Uro.
Good luck!

Do you mean he gave you got a script and you inject it yourself as needed?
I was gonna give Trimix another try tonight, but probably won't. I'm wondering if I eventually get the dosing right so that "he" goes down in a reasonable amount of time, then I won't get a useable erection.
