How to Store Trimix Properly When Traveling to Europe?
I'm planning on traveling to europe from USA and will be taking trimix. How can I store it properly while on the plane and in the hotel?
Re: How to Store Trimix Properly When Traveling to Europe?
I just came back from a week in Mexico and took 3 syringes with me. I bought a portable cooler for Insulin on Amazon - once I got to the resort, I simply put the syringes in the fridge in the room.
I was worried about degradation, but to be honest, the last injection on on our 2nd to last day (one week after packing them) gave me a ridiculously powerful erection. I used a Giddy device for the assist, and it was amazing.
Here is the TSA approved cooler that i purchased and used: https://www.amazon.com/DISONCARE-Diabetic-Medication-Tag-Save-Important/dp/B07MT5C8ZL/ref=sr_1_13?crid=3NGGQVY37DGAM&keywords=insulin+cooler+travel+case&qid=1647730114&sprefix=insulin+cooler%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-13

Wow.. looks very damn cool. Bu once you got to your resort in mexico did you have access to a refrigerator to store the trimix in?
Will this container store a bottle of trimix? I'm looking to store the whole bottle of trimix not syringed filled trimix.
Do you think a couple of ice packs would do a better job at freezing the trimix than the container? If so would that encounter any issues at TSA or the airport?

I did have access to a refrigerator once i got to the hotel - that helped. I have used it for long weekend trips with no fridge and it has worked well for up to 72 hours. I haven't really tried it any longer than that.
I do think that a full vial would fit in the container - there's a lot of space beside the ice pack.
As for the ice packs. the frozen container is form fitted to the cylinder, so it fits very well. i don't think there would be room for additional ice packs.
One word of caution: Be sure you can bring liquid drugs into the country in which you are travelling. One of the reviews on the Amazon site states that it was confiscated at Heathrow in the UK. That would be a shitty start to your trip.

Thats not what I meant. What I mean is, wouldnt it be best to sandwich the trimix cylinder in between 2 ice packs? Wouldnt that be better than using the Amazon container?

I traveled to Italy last month. As I was unsure, I left vial home but travelled with about 5 prefilled syringes. I stored kept them in this small Medical Travel Case Protector for Diabetic with One Ice Pack Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0833ZK44T/re ... G0G338GSGF
I hoped the flight attendant would store container in plane refrigerator but she gave me ice instead. It worked. I used used my prefilled syringes when needed and never noticed any lost in potency.
For road travels lasting sometimes 5 hours, I kept container and prefilled syringes in ziploc bag with a lot of ice.
I am investing in a usb powered cooler from AliExpress soon.

I'm traveling to Spain and flight takes 7 hours from NYC. I cant risk my trimix from warming up during the flight. I think its best to place the trimix vial between 2 large ice packs, all tied up. What do you think?
Would you know if the flight attendant allows meds to be stored in the plane's refrigerator?
That small med case for diabetes with 1 ice pack that you linked looks like it wont cool for 7 hour trips. If you would suggest something else I'd greatly appreciate it.
Of all the places in the world italy?? Its the most unsafe and unhealthy nation in europe. Hope you didnt get infected with anything over there. People are avoiding that place like the plague literally.
Looking forward to your reply.

I don't know - the cylinder is specifically designed for syringes/refrigeration/travel . . .

I also fly internationally and all I do is place my trimix vials in a small, stainless steel, high-quality thermos. The morning of the trip I take the trimix out of the freezer, place it in the thermos, and fill the rest of the thermos with ice. That will keep you covered well through takeoff. But for safe measures replenish the thermos with ice just before takeoff. Any eatery will give you a cup of free ice. Once you get on the plane it's obviously easy to get more ice from flight attendants. Also, I have never had an issue with TSA and the thermos. When I first started I spoke to a TSA person face-to-face and explained the thermos. He said, "no problem, enjoy your flight."
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.
