Maybe I was a sloppy injector -- I dunno -- I'm not a doc so was just doing my amateur best at it -- alternating sites, plunging slow, holding the injection site for a period of time, etc. I started off with a Trimix with 30 PGE and had to work up to 120 PGE to maintain effectiveness -- over 8 months -- till even that explosive mix failed me completely.
When Eid did the implant he told me afterwards that I was obliterated with scarring and that I had a slight downward bend that he was not able to fix. He said the scarring made the implant very difficult -- had to use a very small drill -- took 2 1/2 hours...
I have slowly regained my pre-op length over 8 months -- equal to the time I was injecting...
Just my experience fwiw -- not looking for a debate please, my brothers.
How many of you got damaged because of Trimix?

75, used pills, injections -- all lost effectiveness. Titan implanted by Eid in Feb '22.

Exactly. Looking at the needle close up it’s not the tube one tends to think but more of a scythe. One of the problems I had was when injecting on my left side with my non-dominant hand (which is useless for fine coordination) I would sometimes lose my grip on the syringe, which would fall downward causing the part of the needle in me to slice upward. Not to mention the slicing and dicing that must have happened all those times I just rearranged my fingers after insertion to reach the plunger, or the times I was so nervous that my hand holding the syringe was trembling. (Injecting furtively in a date’s bathroom without a lock holding the door closed with your body in a hurry worried that they will smell the alcohol rub or hear the needle and think you’re a junky will do that. It will also cause you to cut corners on the compression time necessary to avoid internal bleeding and fibrosis.)
It takes a lot of coordination to inject well in the best of scenarios. I fucked up so many times and never thought it mattered until it did.

It is better to just inject with Alprostadil/PGE1 which is shown to significantly lower the chance of scarring.
Have the studies been this conclusive? Or is it because trimix is more powerful?
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

Far less than 20 percent actually get scarring from Trimix. And that's usually due to bad injection techniques and way to frequent injections.

Please don't call me a shill for implants, but curious as to where you get the "far less than 20%" data?
thank you.

crazyjoe,
You were clearly a poor candidate for injections. I'm sure the risk for damage increases when you're injecting huge doses of an extremely strong mix. To increase dose and strength so quickly you obviously were suffering from an ED cause not suitable for injection therapy. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Your experience would not be the norm.

The majority of the time its far less than 20 percent. And usually that's caused by way to many injections and improper application.

There's many more studies but these are good reads. Plus you can talk to the vast majority of Urologists and they will tell you the number of their patients that get fibrosis is far less than that and usually very minor and happens over a very long period of time.

Here's another good study Joe.. It's a good read.
Re: How many of you got damaged because of Trimix?
BDloink -- you could well be right. I think it might have been my venous leakage which Trimix couldn't handle. I would lay on my back and lose erection strength which I could only get back by flipping to my side.
The reason I went up to such a strong mixture was due to each mix losing effectiveness. If I had stayed at each strength on the way up, my sex life would have ended. Each increasing strength bought me additional time.
So it's likely true that my cause of ED made me a poor candidate for long term injection effectiveness. There must be several ED causes that preclude long-term Trimix success, and mine I expect was venous leakage, and maybe that is a rare condition among those with ED -- I don't know, maybe others do?
