Sorry for the slow reply. I wonder also about why some scar and some don’t. I’ve read on here where some have injected for 10 plus years and still use the same amount of mix…. Everybody is different. My Dr did tell me that most likely my V.Leak is probably getting worse is why I have to use more… I’m just done with needles as soon as I can get implanted it will be done… but it’s not that easy… takes time dealing with BPH and then on to implant

No problem on the slow response. May I ask how often have been injecting during the 14 months since you have started with Trimix?

At least twice weekly. Once midweek and once on weekends.During the summer when the wife and I are at the houseboat occasionally twice on weekends… Friday, sunday

Thanks for the response. Twice a week seems normal enough. I was just curious as to why you are already considering an implant. Since you are on a weak Trimix blend, why not try a stronger mix?

Several reasons. One is inconsistency… many times it’s not quite as hard as others and two in getting a bad positional issue. When I stand it’s as hard as a rock, laying on my back it goes soft almost immediately… don’t work good if she wants to be on top!! Lol. Also when we’re on vacation I like to have sex more than every other day… have tried against Dr orders using shots twice in 24 hours and had such an aching dick I didn’t want sex for the last 3 days of our vacation. In 14 months I’ve gone from 5cc to 30cc and starting to get a lot of ache.. And lastly I’m just sick and tired of having to go stick a needle in it and being on a time frame…. Just ready to get the implant.

Ah ok. I totally understand the frustration of limiting sex to every other day. I have yet to try doing 2 injections within a 24hr period. And even if that works well for me, it is something that is frowned upon I guess and something that should not be done regularly. Anyway good luck with your implant journey.

I see your about 6-7 months into tri-mix. Hope it continues to satisfy for years to come. Don’t in any way mean to come across negative on injecting. Some on FT have been using it for years, and are totally happy with it. Me on the other hand, I’ve struggled with ED for over 10 years and although injecting is much better than pills we’re the last few years, I’m just tired of the inconsistency and the failures. It was said best by someone on here I read recently… every time it don’t work properly it’s like going through Failure over and over… I think I’m at my mental end to the inconsistency and long for a dick that’s ready when I am be it tonight and then again in the am, or in the middle of the night if I just want to roll over on my wife and wake her up with a rock hard one!! Lol. Good luck in the future. I’m scheduled first week in April for an aquablation of my prostate…. Urologist said must wait 90 days after procedure before IPP. Will have that surgery on the 91st day if at all possible with the surgeon schedule.

I can see the inconsistency being a major headache. I would probably consider an implant if that was the case with me as well. But so far, trimix has been very consistent and I am satisfied for the most part. Although I would disagree on it being much better than pills. I hated the side effects (ie. stuffy nose, tinted vision, heartburn, etc.), but the pills were effective for longer periods of time. With trimix, it is basically on for 1-2 hours and then you are done.

I think I started in Dec of 2020, at least 3x a week, hmmm maybe 175 conservative guess.

Reviving this thread as it I am curious too.

I am 60 now and started with Trimix 13 months ago. It took about a month to get the dose right, I started at a dose way too high, and on the first try, I had to get my unit drained after a 4 hour erection. I do not know the exact mix as the doctor prepares and preloads the syringe. I have an auto-injector that looks like a pen and it works great. I started at 0.1 and am now down to 0.04 ml.

I inject 3 to 4 times a week so about 200x since I started. No issues and still using the same amount with the same effect. It will give me an erection for 45 to 90 minutes. It always lasts until I orgasm and I feel I keep the stimulation and am still horny I can go for a second round. Most of my partners only want 30 to 40 minutes so I have it dialed in well. If I am looking for a 2 hour plus session I just take 50mg of Viagra.

So far I can not feel any scarring. I always alternate sides and locations. To vary locations I give myself a semi-erection some I can vary the location. Once a month I will use a shockwave machine for five days to break up any scarring.

started trimix in feb of 22 and am now at 97 injections. Uro started me out at 15 units, too strong. 2nd dose of 10 was also too strong. i dialed it down to 5 units and that gives me 4 hours plus most times. i have had many 4-5 hour erections and have never had to go to the ER or have anything drained. erections are never painful and as of yet i do not feel anything strange or weird in my member. i have had misfires, mostly on the left side due to the vein i have on that side. also misfires have occurred when i inject near the base. i take a daily cocktail of daily use cialis with L arginine, L citruline and Zinc to which i assume that is why i do not need as much. since switching to a new vial, i have found that 4 units gives me the same time as the previous one of mostly 4 hours. erections do not subside after orgasm, they may wane a bit but always come back. sudafed is taken mainly out of fear of a priapism but erections always subside. i started out only once a week, but in the last months that has ramped up to 3 times a week.
