Olympia Prescription Only?

Postby Steve_ED » Fri Apr 14, 2023 9:10 pm

Just a quick recap on my situation. My urologist prescribed a weak formula of Trimix for me and then retired. No one at that office can see me and the entire office is about to close down. I just found out today, I have an appt with another urologist in July. That is roughly three months away. I looked at Olympia and then discovered they cannot ship to my state. My MD, does not know about Trimix, so he does not want to prescribe me an increased formula. Can a doctor at Olympia prescribe me the formula and email it to me, that I can print and take to my local compounding pharmacy? If so, what do they charge just to write the prescription? Thank you …
Still figuring out my Trimix dose and formula, which has now become Quadmix. The Quadmix is the same as my Trimix formula, but ads Atropine and now is 30MG/1 MG/20MCG/.1MCG/ML.

Did you try asking Olympia? My guess is they won’t because the only reason they have an in-house physician writing scripts is so that they can sell you medicine….

However, nowadays many physicians, including urologists, do telemedicine….if you can get any results from your old doctor and be ready to share via a telemed visit, maybe they’ll write a script…

My doc is on medical leave, so I’m also looking for a new one, but I’m in NY area and have an in person appointment in 2 weeks….

Good luck

I have not called them and asked them yet. Just glancing at their website, it looks like they charge to write the prescription. Is that right or wrong? If they do not make any money writing the prescription, then I can understand why they would not do it. If that is the case, I will either have to find a local dr who will prescribe it, or wait till July I guess. I don’t guess it will be the end of the world if I have to wait till July, but I would be nice not to have to wait that long.
