Younggc and Hardwood0690,
You need to get your dicks at least semi-hard B4 sticking the needle in. Go ALL the way in. A 1/2" needle should be about the center of the dick when pushed FULLY IN from the side. If your can't get at least semi-uard, I suggest getting a pump and using it just B4 sticking yourself. With a pump, get a full erection. With a hard dick, the needle will go in easily, no pain and no bent needles. I suspect beginners to injections are without success for the same reasov, i.e., needle not going fully in so that the meds get to the right place. Be patinet and don't get in a hurry.
I've been injecting for ~ 15 years and had similar problems in the beginning.
How deep do I go?

Re: How deep do I go?
It seems to me I went too deep today.
When I pushed the needle in it seemed to want to stop about 1/2 way in.
I kept pushing through and then there was very little effect and this was a little bit larger dose I'm trying.
This dose is slightly higher than the previous 3 times where I achieved about an 85% erection.
I wonder if I went too far.
I was semi erect but not so much.
I will have to go look at the pictures again and research this.
Seems to me I went through and the medicine was wasted somehow.
The Trimix is only a month old and had been refrigerated.

Sun: I always bury my 1/2" needle, as I think we're supposed to do.
FWIW: My trimix is 7 months old, has been in fridge, and still works as good as it did at first.

RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.

Re: How deep do I go?
Actually now that I think of it, I did not use a constriction ring this time. The ring getting caught up in my pubic hair is annoying.
I just shaved down below and shave everything in my pubic area. I have to say I actually think it is cool and will make masturbation pretty cool without all the hair.
Anyway, now I will get back to trying the constriction ring again.
I am on warfarin (blood thinner) but I don't think that gets in my way. I can take Viagra and get good erections so the blood thinners aren't causing a problem.

Re: How deep do I go?
I just started giving myself injecting with 40 units of Alprostadil about a week back with good results and have found that using Inject-ease (which holds the syringe and the needle) easier to use than it may have been otherwise (the pharmacy included that as part of the starter kit). You just hold the end of Inject-ease against the penis at the desired point at the correct angle and push a button for the needle to go in.
As a side benefit, you can adjust the depth to which the needle will go in. For example, I use 29 gauge, 1/2 inch needles, but set the Inject-ease so that only 3/8 inch will go into the penis. That seems to work well for me. My urologist was fine with me going in only 3/8 inch. Any way, it works.

Re: How deep do I go?
I've found that when I get thru the tunica (I think that's the wall of the CC) the needle feels like it's going in easier. When I get there, I always have been successful at hitting the promised land. A slightly plump dick helps a lot at feeling getting thru the wall.
I think it all just takes practice.
You vets probably know this, but the needle only seems to hurt going through the skin, and not later in the injection.
I notice the same thing when injecting T with a 1" needle.
