My vials say prescribed in July and to be disposed of on October 1. Basically 3 months.
but since I'm single and only use it a few times. I only used one vial and is not empty yet, there is a little left and it already says to be disposed of on Oct 1st.
I kept them in the freezer the whole time. I only opened one, the other one is still sealed and has been in the freezer all the 3 months. The opened one, I did keep it in the fridge maybe one or two days before use and then put it back in the freezer.
Should just use the unopened vial as normal and once I'm about to run out, then reorder 2 vials more?
I have 3 refills left until July 2024 before I need to pay the doctor's telehealth appointment again for more refills lmao each refill means 2 vials
Maybe they put the 3 months disposal so you order more?
The literature says it can last 3 to 6 months

Here it says, though it seems to be for aprostadril only
Frozen at -20 deg C and -70 deg C, less than 5% loss of any of the drug componenets occurred in 6 months. A beyond-use date of 6 months when stored frozen at -20 deg C and 1 month when stored refrigerated at 4 deg C is appropriate for batches of the injection that have passed sterility testing. Room temperature exposure should be limited, and the vial should be returned to refrigeration as soon as possible.
My freezer is set to 0 degrees F
