My scrip calls for a 50 unit dose of Trimix. I tried 3 times injecting without success. Usually what would happen is that as soon as the needle hit the cavernosa my penis would get incredibly hard and shrink up. It was like trying to push the needle into one of those red erasers. It hurt and left a bruise.

Well I was trying to use the same syringe that I use for T injection (1/2", 29 gauge) and that's just way too big. So the pharmacist recommended these BD 31 gauge 5/16" syringes.

Wow what a huge difference that makes. I injected 35 units and had a really good boner for nearly 4 hours and a pleasant time with the wife. I've never been that hard in my life. It was truly amazing.

So now I begin experimenting with lowering the dose. I'm going to try 10 units this next time and see if things work right.

And thank your lucky stars that the 50 unit injects missed -- if 40u got you to 4 hrs ... 50 would have surely gotten you to the ER Moon.

So, what knucklehead in your doctor's office recommended 50 units as a starting point anyways ? Especially if you don't have 100% ED to begin with. They should be taken out and shot -- with 50 units -- and see how THEY would like it.

I think your idea of 10 units next time is a good one. All you need is an good hours worth anyways -- after that it can just be a nuisance. Just think how many shots you will be getting from your 5 ml vial at only 10 units each? Thousands! Millions! Well, a lot.

Also on the "script calls for 50 units" .. sometimes the Pharmacy will just put down some crazy amount per dose since they are REQUIRED to put some dosage info. They might have figured the whole bottle for 10 doses (a month) and did the math. Did your doc ask you to come in for a first shot in his office?

When I first started using this 20 years ago I could get rock hard on 10 unit, now it takes 60. Best to start out slow with a low dose.

Hah.. that sounds amazing! I am afraid of injections (I am afraid if it safe and if it could not damage the penile tissues permanently, are my concerns really wrong?) so far but posts like this made me want to try it so badly.

Hi WoodyJohn- Don't let your fears scare you away !!! Trimix is the saviour of many men on this forum with very little problems when it is used properly....

You really need to try it out before you will become a believer.....it really does not hurt....and works really, really well for most men.

Time for you to get a good "Woody" !!!!
