Hey all, as my first post I'd like to say that this site has really done a lot for my mental sanity. Being able to read about your guys experiences' has been invaluable and quite therapeutic. Now, lest we grow sentimental here, to the brass of the matter. I've had ed since I was 18 and am now 24. Recently, max dose cialis isn't the guaranteed erections that it once was.
Lately I've had successful sex, but knowing that I could lose erection if I change position or whatever has been making sex seem more of a will I be able to complete the task chore than the joy that it once was.
I've read a ton about injecting and I'm totally prepared to stick a needle down there if it meant an erection for potentially hours.
The kicker is, if I use a medical grade ring, I know that I can squeeze out (no pun intended) some more years before I start my seemingly inevitable injections. The idea of injections sounds incredible to me as well considering I sometimes get very mild PE. What does not sound incredible is the risk of scarring (I have very slight peyronies) and potential complications that that may bring to implants down the road.
So my questions are, say I do take the plunge to injections (I would start with pge1 only), is there a surefire way for urologists to see if I'm doing damage down there that could make implantation harder to do? I was thinking along the lines of some sorta ultrasound but idk.
Secondly, what would you guys do in my shoes if you were 24 and pills sometimes were starting to necessitate a tight ring. Forgot to mention the rather large nuisance max dose cialis is, headaches and nausea ya know.
It does kill me a lil inside asking a girl my age if she's ok if I wear a ring, but that's something I could get over for sure.
Young Fella thinking about injecting
Re: Young Fella thinking about injecting
I know Cialis is more convenient for the longer active state, but I found it less effective for me at max dose.
Sildenafil 100mg seems to work better for me and has allowed me to stay on pills for longer.
Maybe it is worth trying some other types of pills first?
Lastly, I certainly feel you when you say about being worried the erection will fade when changing positions. This is why I went on injections in 2021. After 6 months, the injections were working a bit too well (a good few hours of erection), so much so that I have been back on pills ever since. Psychologically, for me, knowing that the injections worked so well actually gave me more confidence in going back to the pills.

British, 32 yrs old. ED caused by Paraphimosis in 2019. 100mg Sildenafil for sex. Trialled Invicorp as advised by doctor in 2021 but it was too strong. Taking 50mg-75mg of Sildenafil every night at 3am to stimulate morning erections, good response so far.

Re: Young Fella thinking about injecting
For me, as far as scarring goes, I have injected about 2,000 times (each time with the same spring-loaded applicator -- I don't think that I have the nerve to simply stick the needle in). I have not ever had any scarring that I am aware of. The only issue that I ever have is a small bruising about 5 times a year that goes away in a day.
I did Cialis and Viagra for about half a year, and they were an improvement, but they definitely weren't what I was hoping for, and they gave me mild headaches. Shots is "A Godsend", and I wish that I had known about them at 30 years old. My understanding is that the medicine did exist decades before Viagra became a household word. My family doctors still don't know at all about Trimix, and they regularly prescribe Viagra and Cialis.

Re: Young Fella thinking about injecting
I have almost always done the right side, as I am right handed, and doing left handed us awkward. I have probably done the left side about a dozen of 2,000 total injections.
Re: Young Fella thinking about injecting
I obtained ED suddenly at 47 due to prostate cancer. Cialis didn't work well and I had to take high doses to use, but Viagra was much more powerful; used it for over a decade. So, you might want to check it out before injections.
Now for injections! When I first saw a "good" ED doc, they did a sonogram on my penis to check for scar tissue, so to answer your question, yes, I believe they can check for scaring (please consult a dr for conformation).
Caution: Find the right doctor. I had my standard Uro perscribe bimix and ended up in ER twice when first starting (but got to show my erection to pretty PA . They way I found a great ED Uro is by calling the compound pharmacy that made the bimix and asking them what doctor perscribes bi/trimix often that's in the local area. They gave me a name of a great Uro who conducted sonogram, injected in office to find the correct dosing and gave me his cell numer in the event I needed to speak with him.
Hope this helps.

It's reassuring hearing from ppl like you who have had such a positive response to the shots. I hope that when I cross that bridge I'll have the same experience

I never thought about reaching out to the compounding pharmacies like that DQQ. How did you first find the compounding agency though? Did your first uro send you there?
Re: Young Fella thinking about injecting
Yes, the first Uro sent the script there so I had already used them. You could probably lookup a compounding pharmacy in your area and ask if they compound bi or trimix.

What's the big deal about the cock?
It non-medical way that makes you harder/longer. Pretty sure any woman would prefer that over something not as impressive.
I would liken it to a woman who needs lube. Doesnt make her any less of a woman that makes it slipier.
My wife has used lube our entire relationship. And I've used a cock ring for that time too. Neither of us has questioned the use of either.
Since I started using Trimix I too started using lube. Actually, I pretty much had to, since Trimix made me harder/longer. And the lube makes it more enjoyable for both of us.
PS I've used a cock ring for probably 25 years, First by itself, without any meds for 12 years. Then using it with viagra for 12 years. And still using cock ring with Trimix.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results
