I saw a urologist today for the first time to get the ball rolling on injections. He explained everything to me, much of which I've already read here on FrankTalk. When it came to discussing the time of the erection, he said that it would be one to two hours. I told him that I'd like to be able to go to three. He said that would likely result in damage to the penis. He said that even two hours is too much.
We don't have the best doctors in this small town, but I also don't like taking medical advice strictly from a forum. Does anyone know of a reputable source for information on this sort of question?
I can usually get two hours from Viagra with the right woman. If the injections don't give a better erection, and if two hours is really max, then Viagra makes more sense.
Thanks for any replies.

Don....
Once you have your filled prescription and syringe, you are pretty much in charge of dosage. I have found that a larger will extend the time the erection lasts.
I have personally had erections longer than 4 hour, fortunately they were all without pain. Be cautions however, since priapism can be a brutal situation. Most urologists will warn against FOUR hour erection and say that you should make a trip to the Emergency Room to get it to go down. That may include "bleeding it off"... if left too long it can do extreme damage to your penis.
I suggest to be cautious, make very slight changes in dosage if you want....
You will soon learn just what amount works best for you.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress..... meet some of us in the Chatroom.

Don,
The main thing to realize is there is no easy-dial-in-the-amount-for-two hours or three or four.
First you will try some amount and see how long it lasts (and it may last longer or less time if you are vigorouosly using it with a partner as opposed to just sitting around). Then you may start upping the amount .. it won't always be a linear step ( adding 10 20 30 40 or 50% more might give all kinds of different increases -- maybe linear .. probably not). Often it is something like 10 units gives an hour .. 15 u give 2 hours and 20 units gets you in the ER with 4+ -- you never know...
But Eventually you might be able to gauge how much will get you 2-3 hrs.. but it might be the same amount will give different times,
I guess what I am saying is it ain't easy being hard .. using shots..

it depends
when i did a doppler once and almost had a priapism(2 and a half hour erection) he told me as long as your erection is bendable and you penis is warm its not scary to reach the 3-4 hour mark
but really you shouldnt look for 3 hour erections, because if u have a dose that lasts between 1-2 hours, going any higher just for shits and giggles might cause a priapism and trust me you dont want that

My uro said the same . Up to 3-4 as long as penis is somewhat soft and warm. He also advised to use some regular sudafed after 2 hours

If you have no negative side effects from Viagra, in my opinion, a two hour erection is the way to go. Perhaps I am biased due to my age. I have never gotten more than a 2 hour erection from Trimix - usually 1 to 1.5 hours. If I could get a two hour erection from Viagra, I would not risk the potential (though low) of getting scar tissue build up or possibly preapasm.

Bored? With a woman 20 years younger than me, and gorgeous? I could just lie there all day and look at her.
The only problem with Viagra is a problem I've had all my life. Once I cum, that's it. No more erection. I've read that injections can make an erection last even after orgasm. Don't know if that's true.
