End of bottle, not as effective

Postby sirgawain » Sun Jun 16, 2024 3:27 pm

Every month, I make a bunch of syringes and freeze them, then take 3 out a week. Over the course of a few years, I have moved up from 3 units to 8, which gives me 2-3 hours of hard fun.

This last batch, however, is oddly only lasting maybe 1.5 hours and that last 30 mins is about 80% hardness. I tried it twice over the weekend (left and right) and had the same result. Now, this bottle is older and I was at the end of it. So perhaps it was just a lot weaker? I can't even blame it on "doing it too much" as we have been doing like 1 time a week now because my wife has had an injury that keeps her medicated and out of the mood.

I'm on T-101 from Olympia. I'm not sure when you realize when you need to go up a strength? 10 units? 20? I got so used to 3 that even moving to 8 was dramatic.

Have you had a "last part of the bottle" be weaker than the rest?

So how old is it? That sure is a weak mix. You have lots of room to increase your mix strength. If it's been properly stored, unless it's really old I don't know why it's strength would deminish significantly.

Honestly, I think that bottle is at least 1.5 years old. It was a 10ml bottle (I will move to 5ml from here on). It gets thawed out every month or so, then I fill my syringes up. This particular bottle would always have some particulate matter that would need to take time to dissolve again each thaw.

When do you know to kick it up in strength? I've never had to inject more than 10 units, so I don't know when it gets "silly" and you need to go up a tick.

Right now I’m using my last vial of 4 that is about 18 months old. I have always kept all my vials frozen and only thaw when I draw what I need to inject and then the vial goes right back to the freezer. My normal dose is 5-7 units and since I’ve started that vial, I have had to go up to 10-11 units to get the same use as when the vial was new. They have to have a shelf life and I think 12 to 18 months might just be it. When this vial gets low, I will be refilling it with the same formula so then, I will make a decision if I have to up the formula or dose. I have used 5-7 units for a good 2 plus years and having to consistently use 10 makes me think its just the age of the meds and am hoping that is the case for both of us.

Yeah I think 18 months is plenty old enough, especially for something you're injecting into your body.
