A question for you other gentlemen. Do you experience the same?
The refractory period as described in medical terms deals with the time it takes a man after orgasm and ejaculation the first time, to become aroused again, achieve an erection, orgasm, and ejaculate again.
We all know that before our ED, if we “want to do it again”, there was that period of time after we ejaculate that it was physiologically impossible to get hard an enjoy an orgasm and cum a second time until we waited for a while. That time period was shorter when we were young, a little longer when we were older, and much longer to wait as we got old. Of course we all know that.
My question to everyone …………… Using TriMix to get hard, and being able to orgasm and enjoy the sensation of ejaculation without actually ejecting semen, does the refractory period still exist? Maybe different?
Here is my un-scientific opinion based on what I believe is my experience after having my prostate removed and using TriMix to get hard. Since the RX injection gives me a hard-on for at least and two hours, I can enjoy a long build up to orgasm and reach my “point-of-no-return”, where I still have a wonderful climax with the same sensation of the involuntary contractions that are associated with cumming. Just no semen. And I can become aroused in five or ten minutes afterwards and have another climax just as strong as the first. In my sixties and before my surgery, it would sometimes take hours and most times wouldn’t happen at all. It would appear that now, since the RX effect is based on a chemical action and not based on male biology, the refractory period may not be the same.
Do any of you fellas find the same thing?
REFRACTORY PERIOD ?
REFRACTORY PERIOD ?

Re: REFRACTORY PERIOD ?
I can become aroused again if I still have an erection but I won't have a willing partner to use it with. It doesn't sound like I have the recovery you're enjoying. But having an erection does help a bunch in reducing the refractory period.

This is not exactly the same question, but close ....
As I wear out Sildenafil and Tadalafil and PT-141, I see the day coming soon when TriMix is my go-to. In addition to ED, I struggle with delayed ejaculation to the point of anorgasmia. A longer refractory period (e.g. a week) helps but is no guarantee. Would TriMix help in this department?

Can't say I noticed any difference from before RP to injections, or injections to implant. I would sometimes keep an erection after orgasm before ED and I think I had a fairly short recovery time to get aroused and hard again but a second orgasm in a short time, hour or two, would be difficult.

Re: REFRACTORY PERIOD ?
When I first started injections, I worked my way up to 18 units, which gave me about a 3 hour erection. What I found is, since I have a one and done wife, which I have no complaints about, I’d have an erection for 2 1/2 hours with nothing to do with it.
I’d find a private place and self pleasure myself while waiting for it to go down. On rare occasion, after some 45 minutes of work, I’d get a second, sometimes very powerful orgasm. This only happened about 50 % of the time. Prior to my RP, I’d need like an hour or more of refractory period before going for seconds. I hadn’t really thought about it before, but maybe my refractory period hasn’t changed.
As i have posted recently, I have done a reverse triculation and now I am at 8 units, which gives me about a 45 minute erection that is very comfortable for me and my wife without the long wait afterwards for it to go down.
I would like to also note that since my RP, my orgasms are different. Sometimes during intercourse, they are very faint and I barely feel anything, especially if I do a long slow ride compared to a jackhammer session where the orgasm feels more powerful. I guess I’m still learning how to live with this new lifestyle.
Anyone else have this same type of orgasm post RP?

Are you on any meds that might cause DE?
This might include SSRI's, heart meds, or any other meds that affect sexual arousal or sex functioning. If you are on any meds be sure to check side effects.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results

Although I am dealing with atherosclerosis, hypertension and T2 diabetes, and take a boatload of Rx's, I have studiously avoided the ones that are known to cause ejaculatory problems. No SSRI's. I take one beta blocker but it's a low-risk for DE. OTOH, I take Cabergoline, Anastrazole and HCG for their supposed beneficial effect.

I'm not a medical doctor, but a lot of meds have all sorts of side effects that you dont know about until after the fact.
The fact you are taking a "boatload" of meds, I would refer you to your pharmacist. They seem to be much more knowledgeable about your health conditions and medicine side effects than the doctors who prescribe these meds.

Re: REFRACTORY PERIOD ?
When I inject, I typically stay erect for a while after my orgasm. If she's not up for more play, I just masturbate and I can usually climax again in about a half hour or so. If she does want to play, it's quicker. After that I go semi hard which feels nice but it won't penetrate. I once mixed up my units when I switched to my stronger dosage and it wouldn't go down. I was afraid I'd have to use the antidote but she was up for more so I think we went over an hour with each of us being satisfield multiple times before it started to relax. Most of those orgasms were dry for me and while they felt good, they were different in nature.
Re: REFRACTORY PERIOD ?
I am a single divorced guy with a younger f-ck buddy as it's often referred too.....I don't have sex several times a week like some here on the forum. Sometimes it's a weekly event while other times it could be a couple of weeks. I noticed the longer the interval between sexual encounters the greater effect Trimix or Quad-mix has on my ability to get and maintain an erection. If we don't see each other for 2 weeks or more I'm like a bull in a china shop and my erection is much harder and stronger. Anybody else have similar experiences? I can have urges the following day after sex, but the erection is not as strong...Thanx guys
