Size of syringe

My question is about the size of the syringe, or the amount of liquid that it will hold, not the size of the needle. The syringe I have goes from 0.2 ML to 1.0 ML. Would a full syringe
be 10 units (1 ML = 1 Unit)? I see that some people are using up to 35 units. would I have inject 3 full syringes to get that amount or are they using a syringe
that holds 3ML? I have started with .4 ML and gone up to .7 ML and have not had much success yet. My prescription is for 2.5 ML only.

1 ml is actually 100 units.
The graduations on the ones I get at Walmart are from 10 to 50 units,
or .1ml to .5ml
They are 1/2" long needles, 29 gauge.

I've never bothered trying to learn mL etc., just "units," which is what the syringes are graduated in.

I use a low dose, 6 units. I got the smallest syringes, which max out at 30 units, so I could measure my dose more accurately.

Syringes sizes to indeed vary but, the ideal syringes that should be used for self-injection therapy are the following: 2 types 1ml. (100units) .50ml (50units)
When "our team" began all this in 1983, we used a 1/2ml insulin syringe (this is a 50 unit type) needle length was 1/2 inch ! We realized over time that the 1/2"
needle length was not necessary. So, what's the ideal needle length? ...30 or 31 gauge needle 5/16" in length. And when injecting one's self, one should always
inject with a slight erectile event going on..Why? discomfort is minimal and your guaranteed at placing the medication intra-cavernosal where it is supposed to go.

medvet, did the studies recommend drawing some blood before injecting?
I've failed the last 2 times I've injected and it gets frustrating.
My last try was with a semi and when it went in, I thought I felt it go through the wall of the cavernosa. I couldn't draw blood and proceeded to try different places until I finally hit a vein of some kind and got my worst bruise and some swelling I've encountered. If I had it to do again, I'd have just injected the first place where it felt right.
I'm giving the little guy a rest, but my brain wants to get going again.
