Hi all,
I have my Uro apt coming up next week and would like some advice.
Trimix is working really well for me. So well, that I can get a satisfying erection with as little as 3 units.
Would there be any reason why I should try switching to BiMix? I tried to do some searching on this and didn’t find anything other than if BiMix isn’t effective, then you would switch to TriMix. Nothing to support why someone would want to switch from TriMix to BiMix.
My wife says “it’s working great - don’t mess with it”.
Thanks,
RJ

I was switched to bi-mix after having difficulty with the tri-mix dosage. 1-3 units was almost too effective, and that low dosage is difficult to consistently measure out. I also had achy pain with tri-mix. Currently, 10-12 units of bi-mix is what I'm using. I've tried lowering the dosage, but it seems to be that under 10 units there is very little effect, while 10-12 is almost too much (lasts 3 hours) and after an hour or so gets painful. All of that is what is making me consider an implant.
RALP 2020. Bi-mix is hit/miss. Considering implant. Iowa
Re: Bimix vs TriMix
IMHO the only reason to switch to bi-mix is if you experience too much pain from the tri-mix. If your effective dose of tri-mix is just 3 units you just need a weaker dose. You could even try drawing up 3 units and then drawing up another 6 or 9 units of sterile saline or bacteriostatic water into the same syringe, making sure it mixes in the syringe. That way you can be more accurate with delivery and a small mistake would make very little difference. Talk to a good compounding pharmacist about this. You might be lucky and find one that is interested enough to help. I don't know if you can purchase sterile saline or bacteriostatic water for injecting. Maybe I'll ask DuckDuckGo. Yep, even on Amazon. This is one that sounds OK. No preservative (benzyl alcohol) so won't cause pain like some can. But no preservative agent so keep that in mind: https://rwmedical.ca/products/saline-0-9-preservative-free-10ml-vial
If you want the preservative then something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Reconstitution-Solution-10ml-Pack-Glass/dp/B09TTW8D28/ref=sr_1_3?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.9BlUAc34by3pxagQmIp8SCiNA24M3g9mfEJTn5iBYIpuZVerzHccgmjx5ysaUI0XM536SlcLJFgvAdGRxkjQM53y1x9HlWIxfsHySwjTf3DRRdkt6o5kBp7R5GESPpHkqJivV7hz7HfDT6zO5Et4lxVJahXm9_8AbOO1-YbLwuw9EXqHKTz5BBrOHVD9jqTsmfpDnSBdblttl_qkccPShmWPTu6__mDISL6f1eJXeJw.25_FlClYKyLaYTFpqfZ-RtQ1-b73SK1HgK4KEs40574&dib_tag=se&keywords=injectable+saline&qid=1733767598&sr=8-3

I think they use bacteriostatic water to mix most injectables reconstituted from powder, such as trimix. The preservative doesn't hurt. Sterile saline is only good for one injection as far as I know, then it has to be discarded.
But if someone can reliably draw up three units, why would they then put more saline in?
Re: Bimix vs TriMix
If Trimix works well for you and you don’t get any aching from the prostaglandins (the difference between bi and tri mix) I don’t see a reason to switch.
I would ask my doc for a prescription written for 1/2 the current concentration. When my current bottle seems less effective and I throw it out, I’d get a new bottle at the 1/2 strength concentration and take 6 units instead of 3.
If your currently bottle is 10cc at 3 units a shot that is 333 shots. I would get a new vial LONG before then because of efficacy as well as sterility concerns.

... Or just a weaker Trimix if you aren't having any ache issues.
Also, you can buy some smaller volume syringes, (30 or 50 units). Recommend the Easy Touch brand. Just switched from another generic brand that was randomly torturing me with some painful jabs. Barely feel the Easy Touch.
Glad you are doing so well with only 3 units. I'm at about 22 units with a 30-1-10 Trimix formula (PAP-PHE-PGE), but my prostatectomy was non-nerve sparing. Maybe your nerves are starting to wake up!
I have switched to a weaker Trimix with 10mcg/ml of PGE instead of 25... it really helped reduce the achey feeling. I might not get quite as rock hard, but it works fine and sure feels better.
I like your wife's comment... must be working for her!

Age 67. RALP Jan-2023. Non-nerve sparing.
VED exercise a few days a week, Trimix (30-1-10), ~24 units.
Bending trauma around age 50, resulting in mild Peyronies (VED use has helped).

Re: Bimix vs TriMix
Thanks guys! Great advice and greatly appreciated!
I had aching at the higher doses, which gave me an incrementally longer lasting erection. I peaked at 18 units, which gave me about a 3 hour erection. But then I realized my wife was not up for hanging from the chandelier and screwing like minks in every position imaginable, so I backed it off until I had just enough to put a smile on her face and get me to my destination with room to spare. Like I said, 3 units gets me just as hard as 18 units, but the erection only lasts about a 1/2 hour, which is plenty for our needs.
Thanks again!
