Just a few months in on the injection journey and all is good. My question to all on this forum is when we want to get a measurement of success and length, what is the staring point for the ruler? The pevic bone would seem like the most consistant point-we all have one, right? Hope the Committee for Uniform Weights and Measures will "length in".
Also, how do I attach a signature on the bottom of the post?
Uniform measurements
Re: Uniform measurements
Yes, bone pressed firmly against your pelvic bone is the accepted standard. A solid ruler works much better for length than a tape. Of course if you want to measure girth you'll want a cloth tape but you can use a string and transfer that to a ruler.
Click on your user name in the far right of the blue bar near the top of the page. It's kinda under the "CONTACT US". That will bring up the "User Control Panel". Directly under where it says "User Control Panel" click on "Profile". Then, on the left, click on the second option down "Edit Signature". Now type whatever you want in the box, within reason as the number of characters is limited. Then at the bottom of the page click on "Submit".

Re: Uniform measurements
I never understood the "pelvic bone" part...
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.
Re: Uniform measurements
I just measure starting at the base out to the tip. Essentially, the length of what will actually go in your partner.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
Re: Uniform measurements
The pelvic bone part is because it's always the same, it's an objective measurement. The skin and fat pad it's on can change and is subjective. That's the reason. It's more scientific, hopefully.

Yeah, figured as much
Cause otherwise i don't think it's representative of your "actual" size, what your partner will see and (normally) experience is not "to the pelvic bone".

Re: Uniform measurements
Resurrecting an old thread because it's spot-on for my question.
Bone Pressed Erect Length (BPEL) makes sense as a standard because you get an objective starting point. But I find a great discrepancy between barely bone pressed and aggressively bone pressed. I know it's subjective, which we're trying to get away from, but how would you qualify the forceful!ness of the push of the ruler into the fat pad?
FWIW, the only time a nurse practitioner measured me, she used a tape measure and barely pushed it into my fat pad. Her measurement was ½ inch (1.5cm) less than what I can get by pushing hard.

Re: Uniform measurements
I could suggest how the NP could get that extra .5" back without pressing the ruler harder but I won't.
