Weirdest injection experience - from 100 to 0

Hi everyone,

1. Injection -10 days ago.

Full vial of Invicorp which is a mix of aviptadil and phentolamine and seems to be less common in the US, it is an alternative to Caverject.

Excellent errection after 5 minutes and it lasted almost 3h. Phenomenal experience.

2. Same result 9 days ago, even better.

3. 7 days ago, in trying to have more safety margin from the 4h-priapism threshold, I only injected 75% of the Invicorp with almost same result as in 1. and 2.

4. Yesterday the shock and disappointment:

Again, I injected 75% of the Invicorp into right base. Only a mild engorgement after 15 min. I suspected I might have injected it into an area where it would not work. I needed an errection badly and against recommendation, after 1h of minimal responsiveness I injected another 75% of the Invicorp into left base. No luck. In desperation and against common sense, I stacked 25mg Sildenafil on top after 30min. No sufficient errection.

How is such collapse possible after the successes before ??

I should add that from the injection no. 2 on, a few seconds after injecting a developed a red rash in my face and increased heart rate, no short of breach. There seems to be a reaction from the immune system. I was aware that this could be onset of an anaphylactic shock and I was observing myself closely obviously. Maybe those prior injections primed my body to form antibodies and hence the unresponsiveness now?? Is there anything like that even described before. I also had this rash yesterday but only after the second injection.

I kept the invicorp in the fridge the entire time so it should be intact.

I will give it another try obviously but I would love to hear from you what this is and what I should do ....

I wish I could be more help. My first impression is that you had too many injections in too short a period of time, but I see that injection #4 was 7 days after injection #3. The most obvious answer would seem to be that you missed both times on #4. I posted recently about my first and only miss and, like you, I followed it up with a second shot against my better judgment, but to quote you. "I needed an erection badly" .

Something you might try - that I have had some success and some failure -is to aspirate with the syringe (i.e. draw the syringe back a but to inspect for blood indicating that the needle is indeed in the Cavernosum). I don't know if this is a good practice, but I'd be interested in other forum members comments on it.

Two shots plus a dose of sildenafil is a gamble I wouldn't recommend, but I have to admit I have a certain amount of dogged respect for your determination.

The first injection did give a little bit of engorgement. So the second injection went into a blood filled corpora cavernous. I could literally feel piercing the tunica in my opinion. Was that even a good idea retrospectively?

I'm far from an expert; pretty new at it myself. There is a lady in Australia who specializes in recovery after prostate surgery. She has a lot of articles, podcasts and YouTube videos on ICI technique. Melissa Hadley Barrett. (She advocates for using an auto injector which I've never really liked.)

It's odd that there are so many differing opinions on where on the shaft to inject. My uro specified the proximal third at 9 or 3 o'clock. But there are a lot of people here reporting success up and down the whole shaft, anywhere from 8 to 11 and 1 to 4 o'clock. Even though I see no signs of fibrosis, I am particularly paranoid about scarring so I move all around.

Also, there are a lot of recommendations here to stop and re-start if the needle doesn't go in smoothly or if it's hard to inject the fluid. I seem to have one of both of these issues very frequently so I just power through if I encounter either. Sometime I feel the tunica give strong resistance but I keep going.

Most if not all guys that miss the target are guessing where to inject.

Most guys that miss are growers. When they inject their penis is in the most flaccid of state. Almost as if in hiding.

If you read through these posts there is a very simple solution. Use your VED (pump) for a couple of minutes, to prime the penis, before doing the injection. This will force blood into the penis and should cause the corpora cavernosium to fill with blood.

At this point you should be able to feel and see the corpora cavernosium. Making it easier to inject.

Using the pump also has the advantage of quicker erection.
