My wife has been ill so my next opportunity didn't come until 7 days since my last report. A seven day refractory period makes everything easier. For a little extras certainly, I went with 7 units (.07ml). The result was a great erection, good staying power and ejaculation when I wanted it. A great overall experience. But 4 hours later, after 120mg of pseudophedrine, the little guy would just not go down. I had to be somewhere so with no time to lose, I injected .5mg of phenylephrine. In my experience, that always takes care of the problem, usually within 2-5 minutes. I do what's necessary, but I don't like puncturing the tunica albuginea twice for just one romp.
A commentary on ICI injections.... I love 'em! Sildenafil has worked OK for a few years but, even at its best, my staying power was always in question. I think this must have contributed to anorgasmia - I never knew when it would go away, so sometimes I'd rush to finish, or stay too long trying to please my wife and lose my own opportunity. In a perverse way, I now actually look forward to sticking myself, knowing the pain will be brief and minor but in 5-10 minutes I'm going to get a reliable erection of which I can be proud. I'm still working on dialing in the dose so as to avoid a 2nd stick 4 hours later.

Does phenylephrine work always to bring the erection down? What type of phenylefrine solution do you use?
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

Re: Beginning the TriMix adventure
I received a shot in my doctor's office. I believe he injected two doses, each of 1mg about 15 minutes apart. That instance was effective but not as quickly as what I use at home.
At home, I have two Rx's, one from MenMD and one from Olympia. The former has instructions to refrigerate; the latter to keep at room temperature. I've only yet used the MenMD formulation. It is a strength of 1mg per ml. I've needed it three times and one shot of ½ ml (½ mg) always takes me from 90-100% hard to 0% within 5 minutes.
P.S. I think it's dangerous - especially for a newbie - to take TriMix without the antidote at the ready.

Re: Beginning the TriMix adventure
30/3/20 diluted 3:1
6 units
Another boring update. My wife's first response was that she was exhausted and today would not he a good day. But when I checked in on her she was settling in for a nap, she said "join me to cuddle and will see where it goes". The problem with that is that I don't want to get started and not have my go-to TriMix so I told her I would pass until we had a better time. To my great surprise, she said "let's do it, go for it". Incidentally, not being prepared, the only mix I had was in a pre-frozen syringe so I had to scurry to warm it up which turned out to be quick and easy. So, 10 minutes later I'm hard and ready to go. Love this stuff!
The last time, 7 units required phenylephrine after 4¼ hours. I backed that down to 6 units. We went at it for a good 45 minutes of thrusting. This is notable, and constitutes a milestone, for a number of reasons. 1) I haven't been able to go that long in years, probably a decade or two. 2) In the recent past, any prolonged intra-vaginal time would make me miss the mountain top and ride right past the climax, 3) she would wear out after 10 or so minutes and tap out, 4) her enjoyment would drop to zero and turn to a negative pressure to orgasm. But this time, I was enjoying every - hundreds - stroke and she was too. She is still on some heavy cold medicine and could not get to her own orgasm, but when she gave up I took my turn and it came (pun intended) on time. (In the debate over whether TriMix helps or hurts anorgasmia, so far, it has greatly helped me.)
Two months ago, she would never have said she enjoyed a hard dick for a long time; but she did this time. Like I said, a milestone event attributable to TriMix.
Epilogue: after 3½ hours, I chewed 120mg of pseudophedrine and applied some ice packs. Thankfully, it resolved just in time to avoid another shot of phenylephrine. I would be happy to use the phenylephrine every single time if that was the tradeoff for a one to 1½ hour reliable erection, but I'd prefer not. I think next time I will go down further to 5 units.

Re: Beginning the TriMix adventure
I may only be talking to myself but just in case someone beginning Tri-Mix sees this, it might be helpful.
I had my first misfire. My normal dose is 6 units but it was late and I wanted stay away from any priapism risk so I chose 5 units. After 10 minutes.... nothing. Most recommendations are to give it a day and not risk overdosing, but a wet, ready and willing pussy overrules logical thinking. I gambled and took another 3 units. Evidently, the first 5 units never made it and I was left to perform with the 3 units which was, if not spectacular, acceptable to get the job done. After getting the wife there and cumming myself, the little guy quickly deflated; which was actually perfect for the occasion.
The risk was that I would have had 8 units pumping me up that would certainly have caused a problem after 4 hours. But I have phenylephrine, which has never failed me, so I calculated the risk vs benefit and went for it.
A question: I suspected that I had missed the cavernosum on the first injection, so I slightly withdrew the syringe to see if aspiration indicated blood. There was none. This was also the case on the 2nd injection but it apparently worked. Is aspirating to look for blood a reliable way to prove hitting the cavernosum?

CanGetItUpButNotOff - Thanks for your posts. Good info.
Age 58, happily married over 38 years. T levels fluctuate but often on the low end. Cialis (Tadalafil) was working great but not so much lately. Same with Viagra. Use a Vacurect VED with a PosTVac Mach Ring as a backup.

I'm curious to know what other men's experience with aspiration is. Sometimes I pull back the syringe and I get a little bit of blood which is reassuring; but sometimes I do that and there's no sign of blood whatsoever, but the shot works. Does anyone else do this to check for proper cavernosum penetration?

I always aspirate. sometimes its a lot some times its a small amount of blood but i have never not seen blood and still injected. of the few misfires i have had, i still aspirated and saw blood and the injection did not work and i attribute that to pushing the meds while feeling resistance so i may have not been in the right area while my hand was shaking a little.
