I recently purchased a 1,000µg MUSE® (alprostadil) urethral suppository from an online vendor. Instead of using it as directed I reconstituted the medicated pellet in 15ml of Bacteriostatic Sodium Chloride USP 0.9% for injection, resulting in the following concentration of alprostadil:
Alprostadil - ⅔µg/unit - 66⅔µg/ml
2.0µg ------- 3.0 units -- 0.03ml
4.0µg ------- 6.0 units -- 0.06ml
6.0µg ------- 9.0 units -- 0.09ml
8.0µg ------12.0 units -- 0.12ml
10.0µg ---- 15.0 units -- 0.15ml
12.0µg ---- 18.0 units -- 0.18ml
14.0µg ---- 21.0 units -- 0.21ml
16.0µg ---- 24.0 units -- 0.24ml
18.0µg ---- 27.0 units -- 0.27ml
20.0µg ---- 30.0 units -- 0.30ml
I then transferred the 15ml solution to three 5ml vials. I froze two vials and refrigerated the third. After 33 days the refrigerated solution has not lost its efficacy.
Has anyone else done something similar?
MUSE® Reconstitution
Re: MUSE® Reconstitution
Seems to me anything you would do with Muse that doesn't involve inserting it in the urethra would be an improvement. Of all the stuff I tried on my long ED journey, Muse stands out as the least effective and most painful.

N-i-R,
Congrats on figuring out the cheapest per-shot method of making PGE-1 shots on the entire planet.
When you can get 40 or 50 shots per pellet -- instead of one 'shot' urethrally -- that sure is nice.
I've been doing similar for around 4 years now (time sure flies when having fun). I also take it one step further by combining the PGE-1 with 20 units of Bi-Mix -- which does cut the PGE-1 ache a bit -- but does increase the cost per shot.
On your mls per pellet - I can't fault it -- as long as you know how much each unit will give you. I just use 3 mls per pellet (so 333ug/ml) - and use that as feed stock to make a vial of lower strength for the proper 20-30ug shots.
Also I advise anyone who is not good at basic math and who does not know a ml from a mm to not even think about doing this... ( you all know who you are -- the one who were arguing with their math teacher "We're never going to USE algebra in REAL LIFE" ... while us nerds were learning it for keeps )
