Hey all,
I was wondering if people use a 29 gauge needle or if it is considered too big - I haven't been happy with the 31 gauge, and due to my location right now the only other available needles are 29 gauge - what are people's experiences?
Thanks!
needle gauge?
Re: needle gauge?
I use a 30 gauge....but if 29 works for you, go for it...

Re: needle gauge?
I have been using 31 gauge needles for 4 years...
I am satisfied with them.... and I guess they are the least painful injection.
5/16ths of an inch length pushed all the way in.

Re: needle gauge?
I prefer 30 gauge but have no major issue with a 29. I have experienced several bent needles with 31s.

Re: needle gauge?
I have not been able to find 31 gauge in UK but 30 gauge readily available. I use 1/2 inch all the way in but I guess that penis girth affects the length you need. Using 1/2 inch means that I never get a failure. Very slight prick sometimes going in other times feel almost nothing. Have now been using for over 3 years and still working well.
80 year old Type2 diabetic, long term ED, pills then injections PGE1. After 4 years they became less effective. Implanted 20/3/2018 by NHS. AMS 700 CX 15+4 cm with MS pump. Never had any significant pain. Still working perfectly and used regularly.

30 guage and also 1/2 inch works well for me....and I agree your girth will dictate how long the needle can be...using the max length for yourself is certainly the best way to go for minimul failures.
