Hey Sailing

Read your post on the Trimix Gel. I bought this 2x before at the 2000mg PGE-1 dose, but dumped it due to poor efficacy (only worked 50% of the time) and ridiculous pricing. ($150 USD for 5 doses).

I was toying with the idea of buying a dose pack of the gel and splitting it up for injection, but I don't know if the quality of the chemicals would be suitable for injection. The dose they show is 2000mcg-300mcg-100mcg PGE, Papa, Phento and I agree that the mcg levels of Papa and Phento are so miniscule that they are worthless, so I am basically looking for the PGE-1.

Is this a viable idea or am I nuts?

Big,

Yes I tried that years ago when Trimix Gel first came out. It worked perfectly and you get like 50 shots from one stick -- not truly trimix but what the hell. (And you only use the powder side .. not the gel part .. dissolving in bacteriostatic water.

But you better know your mls .. mcg .. cc and mg perfectly... no guessing allowed.

Hey Jimstars

Yes by doing that you are essentially only using the PGE-1, since the Papa and Phento are negligible, especially after you dilute it. But, then, that was how this all started out anyway. The Trimix and Bimix came about from guys that had a painful reaction to the caverjet, which is wholly PGE-1.

Not afraid of the measurements (I have medical and engineering degrees). My primary worry was the difference in purity and/or contamination that would not be allowed in an injectable. My uro went off the deep end when I mentioned it, saying it was a definite No-No, but then he also said anything over 40 mcg on the PGE-1 would be devastating and I see many guys on here using a lot more.

Thanks for the info. Did you find a way decent way (scale) to measure out the powder effectively? Micrograms be pretty small. I'll have to look for a scale to purchase.

Big,

There's no need to measure the powder. The applicator stick has 2000mcg of PGE-1. Did yours come in a snubnosed plastic applicator with the powder in it? I assume yes. Just use a syringe to add a ml or half ml of bact water to first dissolve it in the trimix injector then suck it into a syringe and put it into a sterile vial then start adding more mls of bact water.

I usually first dilute down to 300mcg/ml. But i use two vials. One has a 300mcg/ml strength and I take one ml of that and make the final strength in the other vial by adding two or 3 mls to get down to 100mcg/ml or less Repeat as necessary. 2000mcg is gonna make a TON of solution.

Yeah, any Doc would go ballistic if you tell them ... don't do that .. lol.

Jim

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking measuring out the powder. Didn't think of mixing it all and then diluting in solution as you did. Much easier. Thanks for the tip.

My applicators came with one syringe like stick of powdered Trimix and one of gel. They are threaded so that they fit together and you push the gel into the powder and then mix the two back and forth until all the powder is mixed into the gel. Then the result is moved to one part and inserted into the urethra. So, while I don't have one handy right now as I remember, so the only problem would be to transfer the powder into a sterile vial somehow.

What pharmacy did you use for this? And how was yours supplied? I ordered here back in 2014 .... http://trimixgel.com/ and that is the only way they supply it.

Another thought. According to my research PGE-1 deteriorates at about 5-6% per month under refrigeration. I assume you freeze the master solution?

Big,

Yes those are the screw together applicators. I think I might have emptied the jell and then just filled with Bact water and sloshed it back and forth until the powder was all dissolved.

I don't use Trimix Gel powder anymore -- just use a MUSE pellet for PGE-1.

Yes I have read that PGE-1 deteriorates slowly over time in the fridge and less so in the freezer.
(I wonder if a frostfree freezer, like most are these days, effects them adversely? Waves of heat traveling thru them periodically and all that needed to defrost might affect them a bit). Cheaper minifridges might not be frostfree/defrost -- because they always end up with a iceberg in them over time.

MUSE pellets are so powerful at 1000mcg that it does take a while to go thru them all so I always have a bunch of boxes in the fridge. I Guess I will transfer some to freezer area. instead of fridge.

Yeah. That's an idea too, but I would be a little worried about the sterility of the Gel. Inserting in the urethra doesn't really need to be sterile, but injecting is another story.

I assume you dissolve the Muse pellet and then dilute with bacteriostatic water. That might be a thought for me as well. The Trimix is $180 bucks plus shipping for 6 doses. What is cost for the Muse?

Regarding deterioration. My Research has come up with several studies that indicate PGE-1 deteriorates at roughly 6% per month when kept at about 35-40 degrees F, and much faster at room temp. Deterioration of Papavarine and Phentolomine is negligable either way. Freezing PGE-1 slows the deterioration significantly, but I haven't found any studies so far with any firm numbers. I saw one that mentioned less than 1% per month, but it was an opinion, not a documented fact.

MUSE is ridiculously priced at over $300 per six sticks. That is why Trimix Gel came along -- hoping to offer something better for around half as much.

Yes I also read the deterioration of PGE-1 was 1% for frozen... which is good.

You may be right about the sterility of Trimix powder. In my mind I am thinking the Bact water takes care of that??
