After over 1500 injections over 12 years, I got to a whole syringe and it was barely satisfactory. I got an implant last Wednesday. What I want to tell you in my farewell is that I had little or no scarring after all of those shots. My penis is thick. 5 1/2 circumference, but I NEVER used a needle bigger that a #31x5/16. You can feel it penetrate the cavernosa. Many times they tried to give me a bigger needle. There is no reason to go that way. Use the small one and burry it. You will spare your Dick a lot of trauma.
Farewell and best to all of you

Farewell with valuable information
Age 75 Implanted by Dr. Andrew Kramer 03/22/2017. AMS 700 LGX 18 CM with 2 Cm RTE for a total of 20 CM. Previously used injections over 1000 no scarring
Re: Farewell with valuable information
I believe you're right. NOBODY has skin or tunica so thick that a 5/16 BURIED needle can't make it to the cavernosa.
Use Super Quadmix due to severe Venous leak.Have a GREAT DAY!
Re: Farewell with valuable information
Thanks for input on needle. Personally, I use 1/2" (30G) and see no reason to switch. If you can use 5/16, then stay with that.
I never tried 5/16..but why switch? Scarring isn't a function of depth..it's more a function of 1)pre-disposition 2) frequency 3) volume injected (?)

I would agree that the diameter is the most important. Can you get 31'S at 1/2 inch? After more than 1500 injections, Dr. Kramer couldn't believe how little scarring I had. It was a big concern for me going into my surgery. Basically you want to use the smallest and shallowest thing that will get the job done for you.

Your record of injecting unscathed is very encouraging for me. I'm at around 40 right now.
Now...as to WHY you had no scarring is still speculative. Is gauge size the primary factor as you seem to infer?
Perhaps it's a *factor*...but I don't think it's a primary one. I still think Pre-disposition (ie, INDIVIDUAL PHYSIOLOGICAL FACTORS)...volume... frequency ..and even technique (rotating injection sites?) are far more important.
The difference in gauge size diam between a 30 and 31 VERY SMALL>>>>.002"(2/1000)..or HALF the thickness of average human hair (.004").

Re: Farewell with valuable information
Well, It is certainly more complicated than simply the needle size. Thanks for education on needle size. My Pharmacy often tried to give me much larger needles, and that is the main thing to avoid. Every little bit helps though. .002 x 1500 in my case would amount to 3 inches of damage over time. It is also important not only to move your injection sites, but also to be very careful to avoid the veins as much as possible. Certainly, everyone heals and scars differently so DNA is obviously an issue. My purpose is simply to encourage best practice and to let everyone know that it is possible to use injections with little if any damage.
Injections were great for me for a long time after prostate surgery. After a gleason score 10 recurrence I had radiation and HDT. My dosage doubled and went up from there, thus the implant

LOL...don't think you can assume this because you would then have to assume even a 31 gauge does measureable damage over 1500 injections as well.
It would be interesting to see results of a controlled study on penile scarring/fibrosis vs needle gauge as only variable.
Unfortunately, none exists.

You must have been on the debate team lol. I'm only trying to help, and I think it is valuable information to know that one guy, me, used small needles, and when cut open and dilated proved to have little or no scarring. It is hard evidence, but yes it's only one guy. A study would be very valuable to shooters.

LOL...no. I think it's great to exchange info and ideas. Appreciate your input on the subject...I only wish the answers were as simple as you have indicated here. Having said that..the fact you escaped scarring after all those years is encouraging.
Glad implant worked out too.
