Formula-Trimix papaverin/phentolamine/prostaglandin 17.6/0 58/0 ..0058. Units 8-10. Onset time 5-10 minutes. Erection quality-excellent. Erection time 90 minutes. Frequency-2 times per week. Began injecting May 2015. What would you like to improve? Needle skills and amout are good. Any suggestions. Keep sharing always things to learn.

I'm using pure Alprostadil, 100mcg/mL at 40 to 50 units per injection (40-50mcg per injection). I've always been concerned that this may be quite a high concentration, however, due to other medical issues, concern was raised about using other products in bi/trimix. Also, some studies indicate more likelihood of scarring with papaverine and phentolamine than with alprostadil. I've often wondered about giving the other mixes a try though...

Not very much... I have a good relationship with the compounding pharmacy. Certainly no comparison to the cost of oral ED meds.

Alprostadil 1ml @ 21.5mcg per ml (edex 20)
Onset 5 - 10 min
Good hard erection with some ache
Duration - 4hrs or longer with a gradual degradation of hardness with noticeable degradation after getting nut
2 -3 times a week (currently) over several years but inconsistently. Periods of using pump and rings but with less satisfying results.
I do have some difficulty getting off on the injections. I would like to resolve that. I'm experimenting with rings to see if i can reduce the amount of injection to see if that helps. Also going for compounded meds as I can't afford edex.

Two formulas is due to two different doctors. Men's clinic (rip off) gave me the strong formula and at the advise of this board, I went to a real uro and she gave me the lower formula. I use the first formula when my wife wants a quick go time, but generally use the second one most of the time. What really makes no sense is the fact that I inject 4x of the second formula which should make it stronger than just 5 units of the first formula.

One uncertainty I have is whether I would be better off injecting lower doses of a combined Trimix vs higher doses alprostadil which I've been doing. Much of the previous data I had read seemed that fibrosis was more often associated with papaverine and phentolamine but alprostadil seems it may cause it as well. Plus there was some concern that these meds might potentially pose the same risk that Viagra had for my hearing loss episode.

I really wish I knew whether the greater risk for fibrosis came from the trauma of the needle poke or the chemical exposure o the cavernosal tissue. Anyone with any ideas about this?

3 units takes only minutes (about 5) for a usable erection and will last approximately 2 hours.
I pay strict attention to the advice of my urologist, and maximum uses of 3 per week.
I have continues use for over 5 years.
I you are not having success, it may be that you need a new urologist.
