It's been just a bit over a year since open surgery for prostate cancer.
It's been a little over 5 months since starting Trimix.
The first several months after surgery were frustrating. I was getting great results with my VED for a while. That stopped. The oral meds didn't do much except give me a headache and stuffed nose. Finally, I started Trimix in Dec of 09. I've done a bit more than a dozen injections.
I had priapism and an ER visit early on. That was at less than a 0.1 mL injection. My ED doc diluted the prescription to 50%. So, now I'm at actually about 1/4 of my original prescription strength when I inject (yes, about 0.025 mL). That still is a lot for me. Last injection ended up with an over 3 hour erection that was starting to get painful. Two Sudafed fixed that after about 45 minutes.
ED doc says that is good news and thinks the Trimix has given me a jump start on recovery. I get lots of good residual effect after injection lasting several days and more recently some decent partial wood without any meds.
Interesting observation: My rock hard Trimix injections seem much smaller than the natural partial wood I'm starting to get between injections. I think I'm probably in that bit of a twilight zone heading for full recovery and maybe oral meds will do some good now. Anyone else have this happen?
Anyhow, good news and I believe I may have a good chance at normal usable wood in the future.
All for now and wishing everyone good wood.

Age 54.
Open RRP in May of 2009. Gleason at biopsy, 3+3. Gleason after surgery, 3+4 with extra-prostatic extension. Stage III cancer. No incontinence issues. ED issues. Trimix for 5 months. Now, levitra alone is working at 10 mG.

Broken Arrow!
Hey, that's really good news. I've heard from a lot of guys that the injections really do jump start the whole process. Can you get hard at all by yourself? jacking off, does it get partially hard? Interesting about your thoughts on size difference...hmmmm. let's do a formal study. Everyone measure their 'thing' LOL

Sounds like the injections are working. I have not gone the injection route buy might in the future. I am on oral meds and the ved pump currently with some so so results. As for length, I haven't heard the size issue. I guess size doesn't matter if you are rock hard.

Hey Broken Arrow,
How similar our travel paths. I also had a Robotic RP on May 04 2009. And like you, I had no response to either Levitra or Cialis, regardless of the dosages. I have always used the VED, daily, as prescribed by my urologist. In late Oct. 2009, I started on Bimix, and was really pleased with my results, up until about February 2010, when I started to get a penile bend to the left, followed by a severe reduction in length and girth of the erections with injections. It appears that I now have developed Peyroine's Disease, in addition to penile fibrosis, which prevents me from developing a functional erection. This past month I was started on Trimix, but unfortunately, the same results persist, ( as a short, narrow pecker, with a slight bend to the left). From what I read, it appears that I am now doomed, and the only recourse in order to achieve intercourse is an implant. And, I don't look forward to that, as I have to take Coumadin daily due to a previous stroke about 6 yrs. ago. The surgery for an implant would be difficult to rehabilatate from due to bleeding issues.
Hope you continue to do well with the injections. Sure wish I could continue to develop functional erections with the Trimix.
I don't mind sticking a needle in my dick, but it doesn't seem to be worth it with these latest developments.

Re: 1 year post-prostatectomy and 5 months after Trimix
Thanks guys,
I'm pretty sensitive to trimix, so I'm going to ask ED doc about trying oral meds again or bimix.
What happens after I injected the last couple of times is what trimix is supposed to do. Except, it seems I overshoot 100% useful (pre-surgery) hardness and size and then junior actually starts to shrink and gets incredibly hard and some pain starts. The pain is most probably due to the alprostadil. I don't understand the shrinkage.
Few days ago, I'll bet I hit 90% without meds, but with a lot of stimulation from my wife just before orgasm. I'm really happy about that.
We'll see what happens with oral meds/bimix.
