I was wondering if the risk of contracting AIDS or any other STD is increased when using Trimix injections. By the very nature of the injection process, there will be a tiny hole/wound in the penis during sex, even if there has been no bleeding.
More specifically:
1. Is there an increased risk during unprotected oral sex (i.e. fellatio without a condom)?
2. Is there an increased risk during protected (i.e. using a condom) penetrative sex?
Thank you!
Increased risk of AIDS/STDs from Trimix use

Dude you should not have unprotected sex with anyone unless sexual monogamous relationship. So hell yeah you better have a condom on. If you hire a hooker I wouldn't inject and even let her blow me without a condom.

This is an important subject for single men with new occasional new partners. I can't tell you what to do, I just post what I do.
You can get blood born diseases from kissing, oral sex and intercourse if you have a tiny cut or crack on your skin.
I always have casual sex with condoms. Oral sex no. I know it's risky, but it would be too weird. I believe an injection right before sex will increase the chance of getting STD's, but so does you shaving your face, balls or she shaving her genitals. I wash myself with soap as soon as I can after sex.
If I know that I'm gonna see her regularly I offer and do HIV and other common tests and even have sex without condom if I trust her not to screw around.
It's a fine line between convenience, pleasure and risk. I do the best I can live with to protect myself and her, but don't want to be too paranoid.
All the best!

Re: Increased risk of AIDS/STDs from Trimix use
This topic comes up here every now and then. There appears to be no medical research done on the increased risk of STDs, including HIV, while using injections. That means any opinions you're receiving are just guesses. However, common sense suggests that any puncture wound to the penis, however small, could potentially increase the risk of an STD infection.
The only thing you can do is always wear a condom during casual sex. As other posters noted, you should not worry about it at all if you are in a committed relationship with a spouse or partner -- unless you know that person has an STD. If I were to have sex with a professional sex worker I'd wear a condom every time. The same would be true for casual sex and one-night stands -- but maybe not so much with a steady girlfriend.
Hope this helps.

I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

Just a little note, when Viagra came out there was an increase in STD's among seniors.
But, it was due to guys having sex tat normally would have stopped doing so.
Not directly related to the meds.
Of course the O.P. is probably concerned with the break in the skin from the injection.
Just throwing out some info is all.

Yes, this is a reasonable approach. At one time, we even moved to another state - forever!

I know this is a stupid question, but I will take the liberty to ask.
If one is straight married, in a monogamous relationship AND uses TRIMIX, would that expose him to any STD/HIV?

Absolutely not unless she is cheating
One of the advantages old guys have after the wife has gone through menopause. Too bad I now need a constriction band to maintain my erection which reduces sensitivity.

there is no concern about STDs, so after menopause there is no need for condoms..
